This is an awesome game. If you are only interested in "mind blowing" graphics then it probably isn't for you. The graphics are perfectly good if unspectuacular but it excels at the imersive game play. My tip is to play on "ironman" (so that you can't reload from an old save if a mission goes bad), and always re-name each of your recruits. It adds to the emotional attachment and the highs and lows of their promotion/survival/death.

And just as importantly if the trust's advisors "forgot" about the impact of the floating charge it adds even more creditibility to their bid. That business plan looks more and more solid every day... (3rd post)

The celebration of the adjournment just how little of the process Neil Allen et al understand of the process. The "win" for the PDT today was that Chinny's application to replace the administrator and restart the sale process was rejected. The adjournment itself is a pain in the **** as it means that yet more of their working capital is chipped away in administrators' and legal fees. It also means that should they be able to complete they will almost certainly have missed almost all of the transfer window.

Except for the fact that they are not involved in these proceedings and have no influence on the outcome what so ever...

This. I'm looking forward to hearing Portpins argument as to why TB has failed in his duties.

I should be there. I have a couple of deadline which could get in the way but hopefully they won't be a problem. (wow some of us have melted away quicker than Pompey fans asked to make good on their pledges...)

You all mock but they'll be fine. Given that the club generates over £300 million a year in the city they only need to get their hands on a small slice to be the dominant force in L2. What they should really be aiming for is to be getting their hands on the full £300m each year... then they could really be competitive.

I haven't read all of this thread but I don;t think that is what people are suggesting. As I understand it the existing law expressly prevents gay people from marrying in a church. In fact they can't actually get "married" at all they can only enter a "civil partnership". What I belive is being proposed is that this restriction should be removed. If the churches then decide that they don't want to marry gay people then that will be left to them. I think that Anglicans have said that they won't but some other church (I forget which) has said that it would.
-
On gay marriage I think that if gay people want to get married in a church and the church is happy for them to be then what possible reason is there for the law to prevent them. We shuoldn't be forcing churches/priests/vicars to perform the ceremony. If any religion choses not to allow reglious gay marriage ceremonies then ultimately that is their call. In doing so they will only continue to make themselves less and less relevant to the majority of the population. As for church schools... Our neareest school is a very good "Church of England Aided" school. Currently priority for new places is given to children who's parents a) Attend the local church at least every other week (and a certificate signed by the vicar is required to prove it) AND b) have been confirmed (and have a certificate to proove it). If this were a private school then fair enough, however for my daughter not be be able to attend our nearest STATE FUNDED school becuase her parents aren't religious isn't on IMO. Of course "children with parents from other faiths are welcome"... they just have to make do with the palaces that the Christians (with certificates) don't need.

It is an outrage that you (or I) are allowed to use them. We should pay double for our childcare to fund both our own children and those of other families earning marginally less than ours.

It doesn't work quite like that. The charge will be for the full amount that chinny is owed, whatever that may be. It doesn't get allocated £ by £ to specific assets. Chinny is owed (apparently) £17m. Whatever the ground is sold for will be passed to him (less costs) in part payment. The balance remains, secured upon the other assets. The proceeds from fixed charge assets (probably just the ground but possibly some other large assets) and floating charge assets pretty much everything else are also treated differently. Also TB doesn't permission to sell floating charge assets.
-
No. Chinny does not own Fatpipes any more than your Bank owns your house. The club (controlled by TB) owns the ground. The charge that Chinny has means that: 1) He gets first dibs on any money from the sale of the ground (irrespective of who it is sold to), 2) The seller needs to get permission from Chinny to sell - this prevents somebody selling at a knock down price and reducing the amount of money that Chinny has first dibs on. This is the same as you having a mortgage on your own home. The problem that has arrisen is that TB thinks that he has negotiated the best posible deal but that Chinny doesn't agree. TB is going to court to ask the court to over-rule Chinny and grant permission for the sale. The court could: 1) Agree with TB and grant permission for the sale at the negotiated price 2) Agree with Chinny and not grant permission 3) Do pretty much ANYTHING else it wants - which could include granting permission but at a different price.
-
Honestly, I have no idea. Because chinny has a fixed charge on the land TB needs his permission to sell it. As permission hasn't been forthcoming TB is asking the court to override chinny and allow him to sell. As we found out in the previous court cases that the judge is very difficult to predict but my (fairly uninspired) guess is a halfway house valuation. then it's down to the trust. and yes I do pick and chose. There is so much speculation on this thread, often about why TB is doing, and i'm uncomfortable publicly speculating without knowing more of the facts.
-
Not sure where you got that from... I think you must have dreamt it. The charge remains regardless of the insolvency procedure.
-
Yep. Mrs CS gets up the duff, 2 seconds later Georgie boy announces withdrawal of Child Benefit.
-
1) becuase the clubs court costs are paid from the funds left in the club which will leave less working capital behind for the PDT post transaction 2) because Birch has to act in the best interests of ALL creditors whilst Chinny will only be interested in one of them. The argument is probably that by doing the deal, the club continues to trade and the £price paid by the PDT and HNWI for the club will be split between all creditors (including Chinny). If the club ceases to trade and the land is sold with the club closed then all proceeds will go to Chinny leaving all other creditors worse off.
-
But surely with SO many fans having pledged, calling round to speak to every single one will take years. Unless... oh.
-
And it seems the south's premier journalist couldn't even be bothered to stay until the end.
-
Who is Olly Birch? Does he realise that the take up of schemes like this aren't something which accelerates over time. Pompey fans have known about the request for donations, sorry - shares, for months. There will be an initial spike on day/week one when the genuinely committed cough up straight away and it will then tail off pretty quickly. If they've acheived 25% in two weeks then I wouldn't expect much more than 35% at teh end of the process.

You obviously didn't lurk on this site before you became an active poster or you would know exactly who he was. I must say you are very unusual. It must be rare that somebody based in liverpool stumbles accross a Saints website and posts nearly 300 times in a month with [next to] no posts on the main board (which presumably is what led you to find the forum in the first place). These unsual circumstances are why you haven't heard of Dune so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

The price of "normal" booze shouldn't be affected. If as part of your sensible drinking habbits you enjoy a glass of red it will likely be the same price. If your sensible drinking habits include white lightning then, yes you will be stiffed and have to pay more.

I'm not far away. We might out number them...

And he considered giving up several times on route...

He preformed the galant feat of riding his bike for a heroic... err... 6 hours. Um... well done for persuading mugs to sponsor you for something so lame.
