I'd like to think that we could come up with some sort of protection, however if all else fails I'd be happy to go with BTF's suggestion. I'm really digging this up from the ottom of my memory and so may be mistaken, however I once attended a wedding in Belgium which I think had exactly this format. The couple went to the registry office in the morning for the civil ceremony before having a short break and then back for the church ceremony early afternoon. Then off for a massive p 1 ss up obviuosly.

"Civil partnerships" were only ever brought in as a "marriage lite" option to appease those who are going bonkers about gay marriage now. There should be; i) civil marriage - open to anyone and ii) religious marriage - open to whomever that particular church choses. iii) therefore no need for a "civil partnership" as it will effectively be covered by (i) No church should be forced to perform/allow gay marriage is they are morally opposed to it, however I don't like the fact that the current bill (as I understand it) it makes it expressly illegal for the church of England to marry gay couples. I would make it legal for any church to marry whomever they choose but add some sort of protection against the clash between freedom of religion and equality legislation. If churches then choose to ban gay marriages they only serve to make themselves more and more irrelevant to modern society.

As I understand it, they received permission for an [x] seater stadium and so designed one which had [x] seats but had empty paces at the corners and enough hight to add another tier above one of the existing single tier stands. Once that was buit they can now ask for permission to add more seats by filling in the corners etc without having any additional visial impact on the surrounding area. Sneaky...

An (inherited) claim to fame. Amoungst other things, my Great Grandfather developed the spotlight method allowing the crews to fly at 60ft and the pins/towers method for calculating the point at which to drop the bombs. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ben_Lockspeiser

Does the full stop make this Neil's longest ever paragraph?

It seems they are actually just one charge with two amendments (although how an amendment can be created before the original charge isn't quite clear)

Charge code: 0794 0335 0003

Charge status: Outstanding

Person(s) entitled: THE PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALLERS' ASSOCIATION

Created: 19/04/2013

Delivered: 27/04/2013 Form Type: MR01

Description of property or undertaking: NA NOTIFICATION OF ADDITION TO OR AMENDMENT OF CHARGE. Of course Christians can decide who can get married because they invented it. Before Christianity adult relationships were one big hedonistic free for all.

Also quite impressive that they incorporated a company to launch a buy out in February 2012 - but have only just managed to get it over the line in April 2013.

I think you can - but not permanently. Every time you boot it will take you into the metro (or whatever its called) page and you have to manaually change to the desktop every time you log on. I've no idea how you do this and it may be very easy but it still seems irritating.

Having just found this thread, what are posters opinions of Windows 8 now that they have had a little time to bed in. I'm looking at getting a new laptop but worried that the UI will drive me up the wall.

Badger, How are you finding Windows 8? I'm looking to upgrade my laptop and not being confident in building my own it looks as though I am going to need to buy one with Windows 8 pre-installed. You can find some still being supplied with Windows 7 but very few. I'm a bit worried that the user interface will drive me up the wall. Thanks, CS And before anybody tries to be a smart @ rse I don't want a Mac.

Or that a tramp has been told that somebody else has bought a wheelie bin for him to live in - - provided he leaves the que for the prized spot under the bridge - and the 3rd party retains ownership of the wheelie bin and may chose to sell it at any time.

Yes, but are the PDT prepared to buy the club without the ground? As an aside, Factless Allen keeps posting about what would be best for the club... All well and good however (using numbers which I have dragged from the back of my memory but haven't checked): PDT bid Fixed chargeholder gets £3m (less costs) from the sale of FP Unsecured creditors get £0.5m (less costs) from the new CVA (figure dragged from my distant memory) Harris bid Fixed chargeholder gets £5.55m (less costs) from sale of FP (calcualted as £6.3m less £0.75m below) Unsecured creditors get £0.75m (less costs) as stated in Factless' article (not sure how this has been calculated) It seems dificult to see how the PDT bid is in the best interest of CREDITORS. To take Factless' logic the best way to deal with any company that ever fails would be to simply give all of the business and assets to a new co for £1 allowing it to start from scratch with all of the assets but no liabilities, whilst creditors are left p 1 ssing in the wind.

If you are prepared to undertake an online survey to determine whether you have class... then you don't. Apparently I'm technical middle class. F****** plebs trying to bring me down to their level.

Again, he didn't repay a penny after 2001. When the economy was booming Gordon spent the increased revenues and then borrowed even more on top, further over inflating the bubble and making the inevitable crash even worse. When the economy started to boom they not only spend the additional
