  1. Its all a conspiracy to make us beleive that god doesn't exist...?
  2. If they owe you more than £750 issue them with a statutory demand. (Free) They'll soon cough up. If they don't pay within 21 days threaten to issue a winding up petition. (Would cost you £800 or so if it came to it). The risk of contesting in court (and potentially losing and being placed into liquidation) is much worse than just paying you.
  3. Don’t worry, its coming. Imagine a ship sinking in the middle of the Atlantic… In a storm. Without enough lifeboats. What you are expecting is a captain, on the bridge, standing to attention and going down with his ship as the orchestra play God save the Queen. What is happening at Pompey is that the captain, having clubbed passengers over the back of the head and climbed over their bodies in an attempt to get out is now fighting the women and children for the last place on the final life raft. Either way he is going to drown in the ocean, however this way he is doing so without any semblance of dignity and has lost all sympathy and respect.
  4. Football Creditors Rule - Pompey's Administrator couldn't make players redundant to get them off the wage bill and attempt to restructure the club.
  5. Really? Muppet (him not you).
  6. I suspect that TB's argument would be that they are better off by 2% of the amount owed. Had he gone straight to liquidation there would have been no gate receipts or player sales. The only asset to be sold would have been the ground. All receipts (less costs) would have gone to chinny. Other creditors would have receieved nothing. With the CVA the unsecured creditors receive 2% (less costs).
  7. Another in Walton-on-Thames. (I'm not "Rob")
  8. The report is confidential between BT and DPP.
  9. To use team viewer won't shee need a computer physically in the office as well as one at home? That may not be possible.
  10. Morning guys. I'm not after any specifics at the moment, rather trying to work out if something is likely to be possible. A potential oportunity has come up for my wife which would start in about 6 months or so with a small business, however she is much much more likely to be able to manage it if she could work some days from home. How easy is it to set up a VPN system which would allow my wife to access files at home (she can already access e-mails)? They are not at all tech savy. I'm sure that I am demonstrating my ignorance by not giveing some basic information... however I think that they use windows 95 but it may be vista. Thanks, CS
  11. I went for a short (few months) stint about 6 years ago. At that point if you were going for a holiday of less than 3 months you disn't need a visa. If you wanted to work or stay longer a visa was a must.
  12. The secured creditors are excluded from the CVA. Unless the CVA2 document says that he will do otherwise (I haven't read it) Chinny will still be owed £16m (or whatever the figure is) after the CVA is finalised. Unsecured creditors will receive £500k (presumably less PKF fees - which might they might have to agree to reduce) to be shared between them. Chinny won't receive a share of the £500k. If the club were liquidated and the only funds reaised being the sale of the ground, the proceeds would all go to Chinny and the unsecured creditors would get nothing. CVA - unsecured creditors get a share of £500k (less costs) Liquidation - unsecured creditors get a share of £0. 3 posts and out...
  13. Having read PST's response... The CVA proposal can be amended at the creditors meeting. If the trust make a counter offer creditors can chose ammend the CVA proposal during the meeting to accept the PST's offer instead.
  14. Baker Tilly are obliged to vote in whichever manner they think will maximise the funds available to the CVA1 (now liquidation) creditors. They are also obgliged to treat all creditors equally and so although they might seek HMRC's (and other creditor's) opinion(s) they won't simply be "doing what they are told" by HMRC. If its a straight choice between £nil and 2% then I expect them to go with 2% unless the liquidation creditors are overwhelmingly against it. You have to remember though that CVA1 was 20% less costs... I think BTs claim is £16.5m (happy to be corrected). £16.5m x 2% = £330k. Less BT's fees probably leaves very little indeed.
  15. You don't know what the "budget" is yet. He said that he had to be realistic in sticking to the budget. He didn't say that the budget itself was realistic...
  16. When do the cuts take effect? How long have those taking an (up to) 70% cut got to sell their houses and pay back thier mortgages? Pay freezes or moderate cuts are one thing but upto 70%?!?!
  17. I couldn't read any further...
  18. Pompey in phones reconnected triumph!!
  19. Manchini to Adkins... "And cough please"
  20. In short, we are thinking about getting our loft converted to get an extra bedroom and an ensuite. We have had four quotes, all of which have come out roughly the same. Now, having spoken to the company that we currently prefer I have received some references, which I will check, however are there any accreditations that I should be expecting them to have? When I have spoken to them over the phone they said that they used to be members of the "association of master craftsmen" (or something very similar) but stoped as nobody every checked their work and they considered it a waste of money. This imeadiately makes me nervous. Is there anybody on here who can advise? Assuming that the references check out (and I will check all of them by going round etc), am I being overly @n al or just sensiby cautious. Can any builders on here give an opinion? Thanks, CS
  21. Tnessfftto...d! Lahadlahadllllllll
  22. Adkins has fallen out with all of the players and they haven't shown up for ttraining for aa couple of weeks now. Apparently we're going to have to move everyone on.
  23. Since NA has been manager we have always finished 2nd. I don't see any reason for next season to be any different.
