Understood... Couple on beach in your part of the world. Missed Sunderland game but at similar over years so have felt it many times. Was there at home to Palace and did have hopes but felt a lot of pain for many weeks afterwards. Thank you.

Phil...Understood what you say apart from some of the big words but my classes are going well so i will catch up. Now tell me what this self-flagellation you speak of as I obviously have not been doing that at games. Is it part of being a Saints fan or part of the requirement for the entertainment part or just something you picked up over there?

I have always believed if he could get really match fit he would be great for the side. You may be right about the support striker role, in the hole but is Lallana a winger. I suppose they should be good enough to mix and match interchanging through the game. Skacel is injured now but if he wants it let us hope he gets really fit and gives JP the headache of choice. Probably right about young White a few appearances from the bench and gradual integration to the side.

Let us hope after reserves game Dyer is on his way back with a little more thought to his wing and team play. Personally I think White and Thomson do a good job out right so choices with the right games and combinations.

Alpine You may have to count your posts but at least Saint Charlie gave you permission for limited number per day. I am not sure that nick has even got permission to clock on. Personally I enjoy all posters on here, most of the time. Alpine and nick keep up the good work but no scratching or biting as I want to hear what you got to say, you both brighten my day and now and again come up with some real beauties. Free the St Marys corners.

Bit like Pace and Hale, can't have one without the other or can you play Cork as a three and slightly shuffle the system. There are some good coaches on this forum and if we can convince them they could have a word with JP.
-
Then again he might be tha answer further forward. A paul Madeley type. Think his father Alan played further forward in his day. It all points to Cork being some player, so heres hoping we hold onto him.

Back to footbal and Dyer is really needed now and hopefully will build on his reserve performance. BWP I am not so sure, maybe a few more reserve games or something exceptional in training. Both need to pull their fingers out. Your club needs you. Ps and a 7pm curfew. So there.

Cork has now played RB part game and centre back full game. Believed to be a better holding mid field. James has played at RB as a long life member of the mid field club and I believe a better prospect as a mid-field in the Spiderman/Gillet position. So if nothing else we have options/combinations when injuries come etc. As for MS and CP play the next game and hope Killer was a one off and we get back on track. My own view is Cork should be in the side wherever RB or holding middle mid-field.

Not to worry, I am relying on the Professor to tell all. Failing that we will see how good they are when they start playing for us and maybe I will not concern myself anymore or not. Hope it is all ok in the end.

Apologies, I am a little hard of hearing.

Educated guess on what I know or have been told the average wage for youngsters and season pro 22/23/24. Therabouts for the two say 4-6 grand each week. For how long and yes we pay there wages now they are both contracted to us .. Not trying to be funny but I can't get my head around the logic and wondered if someone could reason it out even with estimated wages and time and the reason to rush through when could have had loans later subject to fitness.
-
Prof....Surely subject to being totally fit. I would not believe for one moment they would give 60 mil and then find out he never recovers etc. I stiil can't see why Saints did not wait until both good players at our level were fit and match fit then loaned them. We are broke or near as can be so why would we pay many weeks of wages when we could get them Nov/Dec and saved the wages. Sorry I am just puzzled and I don't accept the Real comparison as we are not financially in that area and we should not gamble or throw money around.
-
Prof Please if you can, I believe you may have some association with whats going on at the mad house. (If not you usually have a strong view from the club point of view) Honest question if you have a view.. What a lot of people have asked on this web and some of my friends who go regularly to games. WHY buy/loan two players who were not going anywhere and will take some time to get fit and then match fit and THEN may not be good enough. Wages for both anywhere between 2-6 grand a week in total for two players they could have loaned in Nov/Dec/Jan when they had proved their match fitness. Cost unecessary as they did not appear to be wanted elsewhere. Pulis and Gasmi. It really puzzles me at this level when we have plenty at the club. If you do not know or do not have a view just ignore me. But thanks in anticipation. I really want Saints to succeed.

I wonder what happened to good old Terry Cooper as he did a lot of scouting for us. Last I heard he lived abroad but scouted europe for us and his son managed a non league team in the midlands. Was Tamworth. Now? Maybe he recomended Gerrard. I recomended Stevie Gerrard but seems no one listened. Mind you he is injured now and in anycase not sure he would get into the side.
-
Who does he play for then? Did we miss him in the transfer window. I bet he was into youth academies in his day.
-
We are all here to support you LSC
-
If nothing else he has learnt a bloody big lesson and the stigma will not go away for sometime. Head down and work hard and become a top footballer if he can.
-
Agents involved , no doubt. Word gets round and then Bobs your uncle and our Midland Scout has a closer look. Our Midland scout has only just gone up from the cubs so still trying to find his feet.
-
If anyone picks on you again Nick leave it to me I will do everything in my power to get you an apology that you deserve. Make things up, whatever next. They will be accusing you of not knowing anything about football next. Scallywags.

I believe all the family Gerrards are related to that famous French Luvvie Gerrard Depardieu. No wonder we are getting so many of the French wannabes.

I wondered why so many of ours were playing so poorly. Trying to get away eh!
