Arry boys problem is he knows he could never be termed as a ffotball coach. To be fair he could be called a Manager of coaches, a sort of co-ordinator. The main thing at the present is AL is staying and will continue to play a vial role with others. Let us hope that we can get some results out of the next 6-8 games , say at least 3/4 wins and it will give us all heart and we can concentrate on the team/Coach and further results and hope the finances improve somehow. In the interim it would be a miracle if the Directors could bring Crouch back into the fold and all work together to a solution off the park. Totally agree with you. We agreed to give the new Coach at least 13 matches or has that changed? For me we have to persevere and let the side develop(more quickly please) get the tactics right more often and you never know. But if you lose too many games over the next, say 8-10 then who knows what Lowey and Wildey will do. As supporters let us all hope and pray he is definitely on the right lines and not forgetting we need our share of luck to kick in as well.

I think he would be a good choice in many ways but have we got money to lay off Webster(contract) and employ new Coach. money money money If only we could get some. Thought Webster was moving on to Scotland job with his mate George. Maybe in the near future.

Deep down us fellow supporters totally agree with you nick, I for one am just glad he is still here but know he will go one day, thats life. To be fair some of the Managers, in the past, have been well at it with their suitcases of notes and Chairman having the wool pulled over their eyes etc. But agree, Unity and hopefully we will all be happy and DOF together with Coach report back to Chairman and everyone is aware of the structure from the outset. Hopefully this is in place at Saints if not we slowly move towards that system. No offence towards Directors of Football clubs under this system I still hope the DOF is from football background and is in tandem with Coach of side. The Directors still have the purse strings and final say. Onwards and upwards. Bring on the yuf.

Wise was appointed after Keegan, I think. Both football men. Wise is a freind of the Chairman Ashley, purse strings and all that. Would it not be advisable of some connection at least between the coach and DOF about styles at least so all are pulling in the same direction. Keegan chosing DOF or DOF chosing Keegan. If for example Saints Directors Lowe or Wilde are acting as DOF, neither is a football man and regardless of good scouts(possibly Prost) the coach needs to be in the loop from the outset and not being given players and told to sort it out , like it or lump it. Should be working with a football DOF. In our case at least make Wotte the DOF and as seems JP and Wotte are on same wave length we could be going in the right direction. If this is the case it has not been made very clear as most still think Rupert is the DOF. Or bring in Cruyff.

Correct me if I am wrong(more often than not my wife would say) but Venables may be the catalyst here regarding Anderton and Le Tiss and maybe even Hoddle and the Spurs connection. Sad thing is you talk of money and not that JP wanted to keep him as he is required in the team for the coach and the team to succeed. So it still comes back to money and Lowe running the team and not the coach. Bit like Newcastle and West Ham.
