Gasmi out til Oct/Nov at least and same with Pulis. How many matches then required to get match fit... LOANEES I think sooner than later. Should never have brought in unfit players as no use this month. Not JP decision though.
-
Fair play JP can play the English CCC style of football. Lets hope he gets rid of this other nonsense best suited to the premiership. Horses for courses with a few loan signings now.

She is pleased but she has now said these immortal words, Its only a game and now If your so good get your boots on and thank God you have all these Dutch chaps to help you now. I think I may have mentioned that we have another Dutch group of chaps coming to help. Great Goal. I'VE TOLD HER pEKHART IS DUTCH. coyr

Sorry I am so gutted I can not even speak.

Nick I think the Deacon family ran Pompey for many years as they could not get in at Saints for some reason. If I remember they are a Southampton family of Builders? Money probably not a lot hence Pompey in poor condition to date. The whole story re Deacon is a bit vague to me.. Sorry.

If.. We do not get some useful points in the next 4-6 games then I would ask Lowey to coach the first team whilst the Dutch team of coaches(are there 6 now) carry on with the experiment of developing the youth and gradually putting in place the total football concept from the grass roots through to the first team.(how I see change at a football club or any business) I was only joking about Lowey as it would have to be Wildey as he runs the football side and he could not do any worse than what is going on at the moment. Now if we start winning a few games.....

Me too.. The boss.. her in doors.. but get back every chance I can or when she lets me.

Southampton football club still here ....Just. Good night up at Fords Social Club Saturday night and with lots of Saints supporters who thought we would go down. Out of about 20 none go to games anymore...sad days.

This is where the Coach JP will be tested, the pressure is on and he sticks to his same style/system or does he go for a win with wingers and two strikers. No panic from me as I have us down for 3-0. But if it helps I had us down for automatic promotion and to win every league game. So come Saturday night I am on the right track or JP will get some real advice from me.

Nick please pass the request on to Lowey and Wildey. A win against Ipswich for starters and another against Barnsley.. Keep the faith. PS Get some more Dutch Coaches in we need more help.

I think you will find old Oscar passed away some time ago.

Just hope and pray to him up there, we win tomorrow and Saturday otherwise we may be cut adrift. The Dutch set up may be good and may one day work but should have been put in place alongside running a CCC side by a reasonable British coach like Pearson whilst the 20 Dutch coaches had there time to produce their total football through the ranks from bottom to the top. Off to church for more prayers as we ain't no Ajax set up.

Yes I understand and agree with young player development and know full well that it will be carried out over a period of time but if you do not get results soon there will be no long term development by this particular group of coaches. Surely that happens in most countries. But if you tell me that this man or the one at Man utd is so great then I will not disagree but will state similar people have been developing top class talent at Saints for many yearsand continue to do so ala Jureyeff, Crocker and Puckett for example. Still sounds like Woodward/Clifford Scheme and wether it is or not the first team should be playing positive CCC football now and not promises to the future that should be in tandem with first team endeavours now. The thrust of my case is not against your Dutch coaches good or bad as I am only interested in the first team to-day and hope that the youth will be developed and brought through gradually. But 4-6 or even 8-10 games and no results then I suggest massive rethink. But because I love Saints I want them to win every game and usually go with the flow but if they ponce around with 20 badges each and no result there out the door on the ferry back to Holland.

4-6 games will be the first real bench mark as to where we are and is the system going in a reasonable direction. As a supporter if we do not have about 10-12 points in total by that time I will be very worried for my team. I am hoping and praying that JP is going in the right direction but have grave concerns that a few more losses over the next few weeks and the lads will need some major help and that is when The Chairman maybe feeling the effects of The Frying pan/Fire. My worry is that to bring in extra coach/es on top of the large backroom staff we already have is to assist JP or is the panic before the fire starts. You seem to think we persist with a scheme even if we are 10 points adrift after 10-15 games. You have a lot of faith nick. i want my team to win. I understand the financial problem but let us get some points fast and if by then we have 6 or 7 dutch coaches I will not say a word. I am right behind the coach JP but hoping some of the coaching/luck goes for us soon. The Pulis/Gasmi is another strange set of circumstances with the finances tight.
-
I have nothing against giving any of these chaps a go but they will all live and die by the results over the next 4-6 games. Are you sure we are not just picking these names out of the hat and ignoring good young british coaches/fitness experts. Whatever happened to that young Woodward. I can see the day when each player has his own personal coach. So the wage bill ever tops up. But hey ho give them there 5 minutes. Where is it all going to end as we are always told no money. Sorry to be a whingeing pom but the group of four coaches not enough now. Maybe one of them will get Pulis and Gasmi fit for xmas timetable.

Saints 3-0. I have to get one right this season.

re new addition to training... 70's Mike I just mention it in passing.. I have quite a few photos of my dear old mum (who is now up there in heaven with Osgood and her favourite Charlie Wayman and the old man) who was called down to vospers when Spurs were loosening up before a Saints game. She never ever took the training but served tea to the lads and someone managed to snap her and Klinnsman and the old /young goalkeeper Walker. She had a chat with Klinnsman and in her own way told him how to play the game. Yes I am sad like that with lots of photos/programmes etc. The point I am making is that if she had been available she could be one of the new coaches in that she advised Klinnsman how to play football. Does not get better than that.

I am a great fan as many other supporters. Let us hope it all goes well in Gothenburg and he is available again soon if really able. The worry is he does not want to end up snookered for the rest of his life as I have seen too many who have played one or two games too many and as much as he wants it he should take good advice for his own welfare. We all wish him well.

Just mentioned on the Guthrie thread about Mark Dennis and wether Guthrie had seen footage of him or Dennis Hollywood. Mind you he is better than that petulance.
-
Rush of blood, frustration or whatever he has committed a criminal offence for which he should face the consequences. If Fagan does not take it further then Guthrie should not play football again until his victim does. I am a Guthrie supporter and wished we could have kept him here. No excuse for his behaviour on the day. I wonder if he had seen some video of Mark Dennis or Dennis Hollywood.

Diaper or Hughes could probaly do a better job. Sorry forgot, is Cruyff on his way yet.

I too am very concerned with what is happening with the mighty Saints and a few that seem to be leading us up the garden path. Let us hope we start picking up points soon..Let us start with Ipswich and Barnsley. Keep the faith.

Lovely story nick, you should write stories for a living you really would make a living. You appear to love the Saints as well..sweet.
