Graham Roberts was a Southampton schoolboy from Weston Park.. Leg injury at the wrong time and not picked up by Saints , Pompey or Bournemouth. Played at Dorchester and Weymouth to whom Spurs paid 30 grand...The rest is history... Graham has millions of shares with bookmakers etc... Shareholder meeting notes appear to be the sort of notes scribbled down but lacking a lot of substance.. May I be so bold as to say.... the sort of notes scribbled on the back of fag packet.. Southampton family all Saints supporters.. Mum and Dad with Up the middle for Charlie..days.. Taken to the dell from about 1956/57 my brothers there after. Southampton Schools football until Services for many years. Settled in a village...near Ottery/Honiton. Daughter at Uni Cardiff supports the mighty Saints.. Second daughter is a season ticket holder with me block 37 overlooking corner flag. Son in the Northam with other family. Brother in Itchen .. COYS:)

Agree with this and your other post above. With this full pre season for fitness and his natural talent AND his heart in the Saints...his form will return..Top class player As with Gaston...two very naturally gifted footballers which can only be good for the Saints. The coaching staff believe and so do most of the fans.. Things can only get better.

Watched Mackie in his days in the West Country...particularly at Exeter.. Always rated him as a team player and 100% TOTALLY COMMITTED PRO.. Ideal player in QPR quest for promotion...but Arry wants to turn over as many players before the season start for the love of his dog:D

I agree Alps....but second half Schalke changed their system and pushed up higher.. JWP did not really have chance to show his worth as we were a little under the cosh.. Still we have a few more weeks of pre season training/games in readiness for the off. On the day we did well enough in my view.. JWP is definitely going to be a top player as are other youth players , Isgrove , Chambers and Lambert:rolleyes: Hope your young uns enjoyed their day
