Agree we have depth all over the pitch, just GK that’s the weak spot. Perhaps if Bazunu fails to deliver and Ramsdale sits on the bench until end of January, we can do something about it? Wishful thinking, I know.

Has to be a reason why 4 managers haven’t picked him. Still was speaking positively about ‘Chas’ in pressers though. Must be player decision?

Just called the ticket office to check in. Ticket office advised they are sending tickets as a late as possible, I assume to make it harder to sell them on. Tickets will start to be posted this week so should arrive early next week.

🔵🚨🇫🇷 Paris FC is pushing for Léo Scienza! 🗣️ 1.FC Heidenheim 1846 has received a €10M offer from Paris. Advanced discussions. The deal could be concluded at €12M including bonuses. 🇧🇷 Scienza has always favored England but living in Paris appeals to him. Family discussions underway to validate the choice. ✍🏼 3-year contract. 👋 @berger_pj #mercato #PFC

I thought Paris FC were signing that Kone fella? Hopefully Scienza prefers to join us.

Damion Downs - Official: Loaned to Hamburg
goodymatt replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
That makes sense. I had read Chelsea had pulled the Jackson sale too. Can you imagine if we had loaned him and lost him with 20 hours left in the window. We’d be screwed! Makes me wish Ipswich had managed to loan him now. -

I see Chelsea are recalling Marc Guiu from Sunderland, assume because he’s not set to get enough minutes. He was linked to Ipswich earlier in the window but they have now signed the guy from Como. Like others, I very much doubt we would bin Downs off on loan after 4 league games. However, if a loan has popped up that would be one of the best strikers in the league, such as Guiu, then would it make sense? I’m still calling BS, but there’s a bit of devils advocate. -

Interested to know your son’s thoughts on the players we have signed this window, especially the ‘potential’ players like Quarshie, Downs and Jander.

Would this rule out a move for Smallbone?

Elias Jelert, loaned to Southampton, went to England today.

Looks to be done according to Turkish press. Initial rumour was that he was traveling to have medical yesterday, so probably won’t be announced until Monday. BREAKING | Elias Jelert has been loaned to Southampton. There is a conditional option. (not mandatory) This amount is also 8.5 million euros. Looks like a €1m loan fee with an €8.5m option to buy. Can play both sides. Wonderkid on Football Manager 😉

I’m still waiting for mine to come in the post.

This is the frustrating thing, Aribo would have been useful today in our CM crisis.

Yeah Matsuki made a foul, ref gave advantage, then Charles won the ball and ref gives a free kick for the Charles tackle. Matsuki gets a yellow and they score top bins. It wasn’t a foul and if advantage wasn’t deemed enough then the FK should have been taken from way further back where Matsuki fouled. Also not convinced that Manning wasn’t fouled for their first goal but maybe he was too weak. Alongside the Archer clean through offside decision, it’s fair to feel the officials have cost us 2 points today, regardless of how much better Watford were second half.

I agree with the comments regarding Bazunu, although he’s not made any obvious/big errors, but he’s still conceding at the same rate. We have faced just 11 shots on target this season in the 4 league games, with 6 goals conceded. Ok, so we’ve had an OG, penalty and that top bins free kick today, but that’s a 45.45% save rate. Pretty sure over the full PL and Championship seasons he was also around the 50% or lower mark. You cannot get automatics with a keeper that’s conceding every other shot (or worse). To not sign a new number 1 is a huge an unnecessary risk.

This guy broke the story yesterday.

Didn’t we take him off at HT away at Leicester, the fans sung his song for 40 mins straight in protest to Rusk subbing him off. It was a bit mad.
