  1. What's his contract situation? I imagine he'd cost an absolute fortune.
  2. @bigadamsport: #saintsfc striker Jay Rodriguez will play for U21's at Middlesboro next week - Koeman says 'he's close'
  3. Yeah, I don't see us in for either as too expensive - Wouldn't surprise me to see West Ham have a punt on one of them though. Don't see us looking for an expensive striker this summer. Replacement for Mane & a "No.10" possibly?
  4. Agree, I'd love to see him back but recent reports linking City, Liverpool & Utd with him. Wenger doesn't tend to let players go too easily, so will be interesting to see what happens. Surely what he needs to do is to go to a team a little further down the pecking order who play nice football, who would play him where he wants to play? Rather than go and sit on a bench somewhere else.
  5. Any idea what Adidas pay us at the moment? I guess it's tricky to work out as we had a break for a season.
  6. Yes please. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/southampton-join-transfer-chase-midtjylland-7519237
  7. I had a think about 3 players earlier, and to be honest, that was one of the 1st one's I thought of actually. Was that game on TV? I remember it being soul-destroying.
  8. He's been playing like a typical Liverpool keeper for the last 3 games, so not surprised they are interested.
  9. Wouldn't disagree with much of that. Of course, I'm sure we'd love to *only* sign 3-4 players, but the reality is we will probably lose 3 or 4 so have to replace them as well.
  10. Bony feels like he'd be a West Ham signing to me.
  11. Guaranteed, I'm afraid.
  12. SANABRIA EYED BY PL CLUBS Striker Antonio Sanabria is being tracked by both Southampton and Tottenham, according to Corriere dello Sport. The Paraguayan is currently on loan at Sporting Gijon from Serie A club Roma. However, the report suggests the 20-year-old could be set for a summer move to England.
  13. Wish I had any optimism for this one -- I watched the highlights of their game at Stamford Bridge and they looked really impressive. Carved Chelsea apart at times. They really handed us our a$$es at St Mary's too. Will be great to have Shane Long back for this game though. Would bite your hand off for a point.
  14. Toby. Pedigree of playing for Ajax / Atletico / Belgium was clear to see.
  15. Will ultimately take the point, but we sounded pretty woeful. Thank goodness Shane Long is back for the next game - No surprise that with our attack being so cr*p, we needed a defender to score. Jose will be a miss.
  16. His chance to do a "Johnno Quick" ?!
  17. Problem we have is little options to change it off the bench in the 2nd half.
  18. 2-0 & Scored again.
  19. Austin - hamstring. Out "several weeks" according to RK.
  20. Agree. You'd have thought Pelle & Austin would be too static. Have no problem with JWP starting as his set-pieces are so good.
  21. I would have him back here any day of the week. Still young, versatile and just needs to play consistently. Problem is, you'd probably be competing against just about every other team for him.
  22. Hiddink confirms Terry is still injured and misses the game.
  23. 1-1 Equaliser
  24. I'm in the keep him group. Lets be honest, who would be disappointed if he signed a new contract on Monday? I was of the belief we could get away with missing him vs Swansea, but we will definitely miss him vs Chelsea. I think the discussion will be mute anyway as it's probably inevitable he will leave for a reduced fee in the summer.
