  1. U-21's and developmental squad are one-and-the-same, I believe. Martin Hunter is the coach.
  2. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/ProfilesDetail/0,,10280~47722,00.html Interesting that he's not actually a striker, by trade.
  3. The bird off the real hustle - Words don't do her justice (so 3 pics will have to do)
  4. Did Ronnie Ekelund?
  5. Was linked with Blackpool before the window shut, so a bit of a coup for league 1 IMO.
  6. 25, I think. In need of a career rebuild. I'd be pleased if it's happening.
  7. http://twitter.com/solentsport "Richard Chaplow set to join #Saintsfc on loan for a second spell at the club, BBC Radio Solent understands" Now official; http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2254344,00.html
  8. Agreed. Kakuta would be an amazing loan signing, but he's virtually an ever present on the bench (or seems to be whenever I check) - Josh McEachran would also be a top loan signing, but Ancelotti says he's staying put.
  9. C'mon lads - Let's continue this progress under Adkins. Really don't want saturday to be a false dawn.
  10. Just nice to have a player linked with us - Feels like forever since it last happened.
  11. Valid point, wild-saint. Adkins' record of bringing strikers through @ S****horpe: The likes of Beckford, Paterson, Sharp, Hayes & Hooper shows that perhaps NA perhaps won't target a big target man. We need to address the striker situation, because Connolly's injury record is far too dodgy for him to be 3rd choice for the whole season.
  12. Just shows how badly we're lacking in midfield options IMO.
  13. I couldn't disagree. Badly lacking forward options...
  14. Adkins just on solent saying Connolly had a scan in the week on a hip problem, and Barnard's got a problem as well... We are seriously thin on the striker front.
  15. Cheers for posting that, Minty -- Was hoping someone would do that! Sounds promising. How does he come across?
  16. Sorry to hear about your mum mate. RIP.
  17. Welcome St.Nigel. Very pleased this has all be concluded. We've totally lost our way and need some leadership & guidance to get us back firing again. Nigel comes across as focused, intelligent and with a track record of playing good football. I'm going to be 100% behind him. Fingers crossed he can work a bit of magic in the loan market. Got to get ourselves some pace. The Radio Solent fans forum can't come quick enough.
  18. Fantastic post - Where did it come from? I have ZERO clue why Pards got the boot now. If anyone knows, please PM me!
  19. BBC South today claim Eddie Howe turned us down! (Apologies if this got covered in another thread)
  20. Solent never mentioned 'wow' factor.
  21. ....because working under a DOF worked so well for him at Newcastle
  22. Don't we normally send out press releases at about 6.30am when something happens?
  23. Foreign Manager - Zola Wow Factor Manager - Martin O'Neil Up & Coming English Manager - Adkins
  24. Agreed - I remember it well. Pards just kind of made total sense when you thought about it (Prem experience, plus championship/league promotion under his belt - he ticked all the boxes) But the general concenus when he was 1st appointed was disappointment... The same as when WGS got the job back in the day (Both of course had relegations to their names when appointed, I think)
  25. Brown is very much in the Pardew mold - I'm expecting a different type of manager. Gotta love how the echo said this morning it's a "young, english, up and coming manager", and SSN are saying "European" My feeling is that it'll be someone with a rep for playing attractive football.
