I'm a big fan of CMS. Works hard, has pace an is a good finisher - But I couldn't choose him above Maynard or Sharp because those 2 are proven (and are 2 of the best) in the championship. What sort of money are P'boro wanting for CMS? Any idea?

Agreed. Not lightening, but quicker than what we have. What I don't know about him is his work rate. Barney works his socks off. With that said, Sharp is tried and tested in the championship, and I can't imagine why some people are questioning the move TBH.

If he doesn't realise that already, then he's not worth having.

Maynard's got everything we'd want from a new striker, but like you say, £4m in those circumstances is crazy. Great player at this level though. Sharp's the better bet at 2.5m IMO.

Nothing wrong with us being prudent, but I do worry we'll get blown out of the water by some of the teams who can offer more ££'s.

Does Blackstock count? Always liked him. Turned himself into a good championship striker.

Yup. Quality manager in Pearson. Signs Fryatt up front, Hobbs as centre-back, and in talks with Danns for play-maker. Nice team he's building there.

Didn't see the game Weston, but I'd never form an opinion of someone when they play for England! I think Cork would be a top signing. (I'd take Danns too, of course)
