Agreed. Can't blame him in the slightest. He's done an amazing job down there, all things considered. Be interested to see if he can do the same for Palace.
Not *strictly* saints related but SKY saying Newcastle are preparing a bid for Gradel @ Leeds.

Wonder if that quashes their interest in Punch and/or Lallana?
Irrespective of whether it's true or not, Pilkington is exactly the type of player we should be bidding for.
He's probably the 3rd best winger in the league, after all
Woolford looks good. Playing well, and scoring for a team in the relegation zone. Nigel obviously managed him so knows all about him. I know less about Baldock. What type of striker is he? Wiki says he's a 5'7", so I'm imagining he's a speedster.
Agree on those names you've mentioned. A winger is a definite. Woolford his his 8th goal of the campaign today... Marc Pugh might be another one to add to the list.
Attacking midfielder, perhaps? Maybe a striker, but he'd have to be some player to beat either Lambert/Guly/Barnard to the first XI.
I got the impression (From listening to Nigel's pre-match interview on solent) that his preference of signings will be players who have played in the championship before.
This is a very good point. I look around at the teams around us, and there's no doubt, we have the most to talent to lose this January, compared to other clubs. If we can keep Lallana & Chambo at the end of January, I'll be delighted.
Just been watching SKY's football league show. They've been rounding up the season so far for each of the 3 divisions. Peter Beagrie's top 3 players of league 1 were Austin, Chamberlain, and a lad called Dale Jennings of Tranmere.
Anyone mentioned him on here? Looks like a hell of player. Has pace to burn.

He might be missing out....
