  1. This. And I might add that singling Guly out is just stupid. It was happening all game - casual passes without an awareness of where the opposition were. I am just surprised that we did not get punished for it until nearly the end of the game.
  2. This I agree with. If AL were to go I would not want it to be a Premiership rival. Big bucks and to Barca or Real only!
  3. Because at this moment in time he is not better than Ashley Cole. He is younger and will keep getting better but, in the early stages at least, he is not an automatic pick. The assertions on here about what will happen re Shaw defy belief. None of you know what will happen so why post opinion as though it were fact? "He's clearly going to Chelsea". Says who? ST Charlie. Must be right then. As I recollect he has been going to Chelsea for the past three years.
  4. With his accent it is hard to interpret his body language
  5. I love the way that some posters hunt for the negatives in anything. "Its Xmas!!!" " Yeah, but it'll be over in 24 hours "
  6. Of those - only Gascoigne and Owen for me. Rooney has never delivered at international level. And good as Lampard Is there were always better midfielders around internationally.
  7. Because her dad wanted it?
  8. Surely it is better to see how next year pans out before making a judgement!
  9. But those new players will not have been raised in "the SOuthampton way". It's surely better to keep Shaw. Anyway why sell him to have to spend nearly as much to replace him with someone as, or nearly as, good.
  10. True but I believe that he is the least likely to go.
  11. Ah! So much speculation - so little to base it on. Just like most other threads I suppose.
  12. There is an article in the Telegraph today suggesting that Liverpool may be denied a CL place because of breaching Fair Play rules. Make of that what you will.
  13. If we can stabilise the club hierarchy I think that we could do.
  14. Lambert has moved into the Sherringham role. His link up play is still top class as is his eye for a pass. He will still get goals but not as many as he used to.
  15. A random number generator.
  16. I guess that you might as well speculate wildly right up to the end of the thread.
  17. Have you thought of taking up politics?
  18. I don't think that any negotiations about anything are likely to happen until we have a permanent chief exec. That is bound to leave the club feeling rudderless and affect morale. That could explain a feeling of malaise. That said, if our strikers relearn how to strike everything will change.
  19. that is what hurt me most yesterday - the lack of any serious fight after we went 2-0 down. That and the lack of composure in the box was deeply worrying.
  20. Are we disagreeing? At least the others offer something as attackers. Smalling offers very little - and that is not just based on his appalling performance for MU the other night. There really are better options at right back that Smalling
  21. IMHO Smalling is a poor right back. He gives you nothing at all going forward and isn't anything special defensively.
  22. Yes -its depressing how people fail to grasp your recurring theme that journalists are the fount of all truth.
  23. Like it or lump it you have to give your reserve keeper game time. We didn't lose because of Kelvin. At the end of the day we could and should have won the game even with the team we had.
  24. You can stay in the gutter if you want to. I'm all for moving onwards and upwards.
