VFTT who appears ITK on this has stated several times the main issue was our league position Theo was not convinced we could avoid relegation (not an unreasonable assumption) and had no desire to be playing in the championship 6 months after leaving Arsenal. Everton are going to be solid mid table this season so it was a much harder sell than you are making out.

he is literally the most obvious troll on here just ignore him most do.

No they didn't we were quite clear we valued him North of £70 million they paid a bit more (and in this day and age 5 million is hardly over the odds) because of the **** up they caused in the summer. You'd have to pretty blinkered not to except the VVD deal will colour other clubs view of how much we can afford to pay for players. As for the reality of the situation. it is pretty obvious the club have ****ed up our transfer policy over three windows leaving us with a squad not good enough to compete in the top half of the league (though not so bad we should be contemplating relegation) Pelle left three windows ago and still hasn't been effectively replaced its a bit rich to try a make out we are struggling to find a big CF type of player because there aren't any available...for three transfer windows but don't let the reality of the situation get in the way of your red and white tinted specs hey.

I remember watching VVD and Clasie play for the Dutch against Wales a few years back. Clasie was playing along side Wesley Sneijder and looked quality yet never replicated that in a saints shirt meanwhile VVD was being taken to the cleaners by some young welsh players who played for some lower league English club he never looked that bad in a saints shirt. A lot of the England squad look better when playing for their club sides than they do when they pull on the three lions and suddenly look really ordinary.

I think we were meant to get our deals done early before the VVD transfer was announced or the very least got Liverpool to agree to keep the fee undisclosed instead the club were desperate to let everyone know just how much we flogged VVD for. So no surprise clubs will now try and fleece us.

Le Tadic to fire us to relegation survival....
-
TBF they are both responsible for a similar number of scored goals....
-
No its really not Gabbi might be a lot of things but he isn't really a lone front man. Given spurs love of a high line we might be best going with as much pace as possible up front which means (and I feel dirty saying it) Long of course that only works if we play the ball early over the top into space (which we won't)
-
do you think we'd have a chance if the pitch at SMS looked like this
-
Yes I heard Targett was on circa 45K a week and bought his mum and dads house for them.
-
Do you need to do face to face deals in this day and age? with face time, Skype and god knows what else why do you even need to be in the same country?
-
unless it actually happens then CB Fry jumps to the top of the ITK kudos tower...
-
Our inability to get a shot on target means they can probably get by without a keeper...
-
oopps akward..top trolling CB..
-
At the moment doesn't look like we will be getting either
-
Yeah I'll hold fire and getting excited until I see a player photographed in an actual saints shirt...

As opposed to what? Crossing by full backs has been a big feature of saints play for years worked well when we had a Lambert or Pelle up front. We still put a lot of crosses in but we dont have CF to profit from it. Also a big CF gives a chance to mix it up we don't have to go long all the time but it would be good to be able to play it long at times and have someone who could hold the ball up rather than have it come straight back at us. Just look how effectively throwing on a big man and going long worked for Watford in the last game as well.

According to the PL stats in the league we've scored 5 headers all season (that would be two without Austin then) considering we have delivered 487 crosses (the 4th highest in the league to date) and a 144 corners so far this season that seems like a poor return (even given that some of those corners and crosses wouldn't have been delivered at height and the variable quality of some of the others) https://www.premierleague.com/stats/top/clubs/att_hd_goal Interestingly the season we finished 6th under Koeman we scored the most headers in the league (15) and ranked second in the league for crosses 956 and 220 corners That says to me this guy might be a decent buy if he is as good with his head as is being suggested.

....I had more hair

I can't remember the last time I was not looking forward to a game as much as this one. I hate ****ing spurs, I hate their dickhead fans, I hate that they sing OWTS, I ****ing hate the Herman Munster look alike they play upfront and I'm really not looking forward to standing next to the away fans as we get totally shafted on the pitch...in short this going to be ****e I'll still be there they trying to support the lads in Red and white though.

OMG can you imagine the meltdown Alpinechelski and Glasgowchelski are having on Chelseaweb right now...
-
and no one could see that one coming
-
So if he can't adapt his game which players should adapt their game to suit him then? Someone has to do something different do they not?
-
Didn't he only join them in the summer so have a good half a season?
-
Has he done enough to secure a top six move already? at least our players normaly manage a couple of seasons before trying to force the move.
