  1. TBH if MoPe wanted a wide player it should have been Redmond in the first place Boufal is always **** out wide play him in the middle or don't bother.
  2. It might be easier to name the players who haven't been poor.
  3. Are we going to test the Brighton keeper this half?
  4. We really aren't very good anymore are we.
  5. Tepid stuff from saints Brighton looking the most threatening seems like we are happy to sit on a 1 nil lead. When we do go forward we are back to one saints player in the opposition box before we send in a high cross again .
  6. Sounds like we have backed right off since scoring seems to be all Brighton on the radio
  7. Cheers I seem to remember him not being up to much surprised he is now a PL player.
  8. Is the Brighton Dale Stevens the guy who came to us on loan in the lower leagues?
  9. Davis scores two in one season WTF..
  10. Very harsh on Yoshida VVD has been the weak link in defence since he came back. Struggle to ever get excited about JWP in the team...but hey maybe this will be the game when he fills his potential.
  11. This Yoshida has really step up since last season, he has paid his dues as the back up guy, is now one of the senior players in the squad, who seems to be a bit of leader and always puts in a shift yet people want him dropped mostly because he made a few mistakes under Koeman (which mostly stopped once he got regular game time anyway).
  12. It's not quite that simple the inflation in player transfers means all the new players are record or near record transfer fees we are paying more for players without necessarily getting the jump in player quality you'd expect from the bigger transfer fees.
  13. So West Brom mark 2 then...
  14. Shows how **** poor everyone outside the big six is if we can be in 7th playing like we are at the moment.
  15. Isn't that quite high for west brom when playing at home ...
  16. So if results don't change tonight the top 6 will read Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, spurs, Man Utd and Man City ...sigh different season same old same old.
  17. Piece in this Weeks 10 things Guardian article 8) A rare starting chance for Boufal? While Soufiane Boufal’s solo goal against West Brom last weekend was a slalom of rare beauty, his subsequent rage of defiance in the face of manager was rather less edifying. Restricted to just five Premier League appearances (one start and no full games) this season his frustration was perhaps understandable, but giving it the impassioned Big ’Un in front of a manager on the back of just one admittedly wonderful goal was probably ill-advised. Mauricio Pellegrino has since said the one-time club record signing must “wait for his opportunity” but can scarcely leave him out after last weekend’s heroics. As impressive as his goal was, should he get picked to play against Brighton, Boufal ought to remember they are unlikely to be as charitable as their West Brom counterparts who made him look like Pelé. 18. I don't I have a season ticket...
  19. I don't think Romeu has been poor so much as Lemina is a class above everyone else making him look less impressive. Last season Romeu looked excellent because our other midfielders were so bad especially HoJ and JWP. No Lemina is a real blow he has been the stand out player this season so far.
  20. Bollix if that's serious we are up **** creek. Back to having to either watch JWP be total turd, Hoj losing the ball constantly or Davis trying to play a holding role that completely wastes his best assets.
  21. Under Puel we only pressed once the opposition got into our half I always felt the plan was to draw the opposition in then win the ball back to open up the counter sadly we were woeful on the counter a lot of the time. This season under MoPe there seemed to a an opinion, on here when he joined, that he was a manager who liked the high press but I can't say watching us this season has felt like watching a high press game. We have been playing a high line the last couple of home games our CBs have been on the half way line a lot but that might be more to do with the opposition sitting deep more than anything else. Romeu and Lemina have been good at breaking up and winning the ball back this season but generally much further back on the pitch than a poch style high press.
  22. Seems Boufal did for West Brom in more ways than one. Craig Dawson: West Brom defender out for two months with knee injury http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41765079
  23. Call it the Lemina effect that boy wins the ball back and breaks up play a hell of a lot.
  24. I'd agree but someone posted this up another thread which suggests that perhaps we are not. Apparently we press more than spurs now
  25. Koeman reveals he knew in pre-season that Everton spell would end in failure https://a.msn.com/r/2/AAu42BH?m=en-gb And are Everton really going to give the job to Unsworth?
