Probably not if Derry's favourite game was beating Arsenal 4-0...
-
The montage has been the most entertaining part of the majority of home games this season.
-
That's my take. People say the music stops us making an atmosphere before kick off but the truth is only the away fans ever make any noise early doors around me people are still taking their seats 5 minutes after kick off.

That's the nature of football most managers have favourites or players they trust (not always the most talented player either) who get in the team if you want to break into that team you have to take the chances you are offered. If that is 15 minutes at the end of the game or an unglamorous cup tie against lower league opposition so be it and the truth is Boufal hasn't particularly shined when given those opportunities. Saturday he did and off the back of that performance he should get a run out but it's now up to him to build on it and convince the manager he deserves to be in the team week in week out. Personally I still have my doubts he can do it for 90 minutes rather than in the last few minutes against knackered opposition but it will be interesting to see how it pans out.

I reckon if you offered Everton fans 8th and a cup final right now they'd bite your hand off...
-
I'm a bit gutted tbh I'd hoped they would perceiver with him a bit longer so he could get sacked after playing us...oh well. It will be interesting to see what happens in the manger merry go round the next few weeks with Leicester and Everton looking for a new manager and arguably Pullis, Hughes and Bilic all under pressure. what odds of Koeman rocking up at Leicester or West Brom?
-
He wasn't poor against Newcastle he had two crosses in the first half that should have been converted and it was his ball that assisted Gabbi's goal for starters (and yes I know Gabbi still had a lot of work today but if it wasn't Redmond's cross field ball Gabbi doesn't get the ball) Redmond was also got 7 goals in a season where we were notoriously goal shy so was hardly crap all season. Its not like I'm claiming Redmond is some sort of world beater but he is no where near as bad as people are trying to make out. Seems like he is saints fans favorite new whipping boy.
-
Not my take he is a player who plays for himself rather than the team but has some great ability, but if people, are honest, after a season at the club, his highlights would fill up about a two minute YouTube video He's finally taken one of the chances he has been given so he certainly deserves the chance to show if he can replicate that on a regular basis it will be interesting to see if he can influence a game for 90mins rather than for the last 10-15.

What if he plays Boufal and he does **** all? How many games does he get before the fans allow him to be dropped? Taking nothing away from the goal which was epic but that goal is not typical of what Boufal has offered since he arrived last season. He clearly deserves a start based on his cameo on Saturday but I still have the niggling feeling he is not the magic wand a lot of fans seem to think he is.

Tbh though we should have been a couple of goals to the good by the time Boufal came on. Creating chances wasn't really the issue we had several good ones, before Boufal even made it on to the pitch, that with more clinical finishing would have seen the game dead and buried before half time.
-
Easy to say in hindsight Redmond has two assists to his name and more shots then anyone else in the squad this season and Boufal, before yesterday, had managed about 10 decent minutes all season. From that point of view Redmond would look to the manager the more likely to get something out of the game and his first ball but Tadic through on goal.
-
I've been a critic of Boufal because I don't feel he has shown enough since his arrival to really warrant a starting place... however if you score a goal a like yesterdays you should be given a chance to show if you can replicate it on a regular basis so stick him in the ten role and drop Davis or more probably Tadic (though TBF I thought Tadic hadn't a decent game yesterday even if he can't finish for toffee). Other than that same team as yesterday

I look forward to giving my Liverpool supporting work mate loads of **** tomorrow.

Not a good day for scousers of the red or blue variety ....shame ?

Marginal improvement over the last few home games WBA playing as expected so we are getting a lot of the ball but not getting through them much. Having said that Long has to ****ing score that chance and Romeu managed to miss when it looked easier to score couple of other half chances to. If one of those goes in WBA have come forward more and,we might get more joy. Sadly the longer it goes 0-0 the more chance we will get done by the usual sucker punch.

1 goal no assists in 28 league appearances ....
-
15 minutes to go SMS looks half empty. At least we are getting the old saints goals montage on the big screen most entertaining part of home games these days..
-
have an end product.....
-
Jay ? classic Glasgow
-
Were we poorer than the previous season? yes of course but that was almost inevitable when you take into account the loss of certain key players, higher number of fixtures, poor summer recruitment and injuries we suffered.
-
Apparently Stoke have only one won game in seven ....
-
By that logic all teams, even the champions, finish by default because the other teams weren't as good.... The table doesn't lie where you finish is where you deserve to finish even if it's only on goal difference.
-
They should have taken their chances. One of the major differences between most PL sides and the best ones is the ability to make your chances count.
-
TBF I'm pretty sure MoPe will have no trouble losing to Chelsea either
-
Don't think we need to employ Silva to lose to Chelsea by four goals....
