  1. Doesn't matter whether she has 300 million or 3 billion rules have been put in place to stop owners using their personal money to buy players and pay wages. This idea that we trader her in for some one richer to take the club forward with their personal piggy bank is a false premise since the arrival of FFP.
  2. Maybe we will see VVD doing an Odemwingie and be seen standing forlornly out side Anfield on transfer dead line day pleading to be let in....
  3. Lol VVD gets support from..... Peter Odemwingie.... ? https://a.msn.com/r/2/AAoRqY4?m=en-gb
  4. Well this is news to me did anyone else know the owner was trying to sell the club? I'm shocked you'd think there might have been something in the news or a statement from the club about this....
  5. Did Morgan or Victor put off new transfers off when we said no...
  6. These arguments are re-hashed every summer we all know them. Sadly for VVD the under handed way he and Liverpool have gone about things has worked against him Saints can not sell him to Liverpool this summer without basically giving all clubs the green light to tap up our players and our players the green light to down tools if they don't get what they want. As such I have a feeling the club will attempt to empower themselves by making an example of him. This might change if someone (who isn't Liverpool) comes in with a big enough offer but no one other than Liverpool seems that interested as yet. Right now not a single club has made an offer for him so he can't go anywhere whatever he feels.
  7. Interesting looking back on VVDs stance when he was at Celtic and wanted to leave to come to us... Virgil van Dijk drops bombshell on Celtic as Dutch defender says it is time for him to leave Scottish giants for new challenge http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3119299/Virgil-van-Dijk-drops-bombshell-Celtic-Dutch-defender-says-wants-leave.html
  8. If it gets to end of window and he is still here VVD will back down what other choice does he have? It would harm his own career to refuse to play for a whole season. Its worth bearing in mind as yet we haven't had an actual bid for him from anyone it would have made more sense for VVD to wait for someone to make an actual offer and then throw his toys out of the pram if no one actually makes an offer for him this window he is going to end up looking a bit of a tit.
  9. Made me laugh Virgil van Dijk is better than Liverpool and has been ill-advised - ex-Southampton striker http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/833152/Virgil-van-Dijk-Liverpool-Transfer-News-Southampton-gossip-rumours
  10. Source close to the player will be his agent then....
  11. No apparently Everton are one of the big 7 now and 8th makes you the best of the rest. Next season after the big 14 we will be the best of the rest again.
  12. I think Man city and Chelsea were the lucky ones their owners came in spent their own money establishing them in the Elite before FFP came in and made that much harder. I suspect their owners don't pump loads (or any) of money from their personal income into buying players and paying wages these days as they are making plenty from other sources these days.
  13. listening to talk****e the other day and some guest pundit was asking why none of the big clubs were in for Toby at spurs they pointed that really good CBs are hard to find and they would have expected the big boys to all over Toby and VVD.
  14. It's nothing to do with FA it is the hands of the PL.
  15. When you know you're a big club Also, according to another Spanish outlet, Mundo Deportivo, Barca are looking to sign two Brazilians in order to keep Neymar happy at the Camp Nou.
  16. How much of their own money do club owners actually spend on their clubs these days? isn't FFP designed to stop them spunking their own money on players and wages. More sponsors and commercial income would be more beneficial, in terms of players and wages, these days than a super rich owner.
  17. Cedric is like Cristiano Ronaldo's mini-me.
  18. So Kat wants to sell to someone with money to takes us to the next level but Lander seem to be having trouble even scaping together the money to buy the club....
  19. Chelsea? http://www.bing.com/news/apiclick.aspx?ref=BDIGeneric&aid=C98EA5B0842DBB9405BBF071E1DA7651530FFE51&tid=9C554B43B8F2452A85EE1093A5B67528&url=http%3a%2f%2fwww.dailystar.co.uk%2fsport%2ffootball%2f632294%2fChelsea-Cedric-Soares-Ryan-Bertrand-Danilo-Benjamin-Mendy-Transfer-Gossip-Latest-CFC-News&c=17702721314956479498&mkt=en-gb
  20. well as you point out we haven't had any bids for VVD so we can hardly turn them down like Swansea have with Sigurdsson. to be honest the Gylfi Sigurdsson saga doesn't sound much different to the VVD one Everton are attempting to add the 27-year-old to their growing list of expensive summer recruits having long made obvious their eagerness to sign the No.10. While no formal bid has been lodged, the Toffees are trying to turn Sigurdsson's head with their interest – but are unwilling to match Swansea's valuation of their twice-running player of the year. http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/swansea-city-hit-back-everton-13308124
  21. If we had forced Wanyama to stay another season he would have gone to spurs for free this summer. We had been offering him a new contract for ages but he refused to sign a new one so our hands were tied unless letting him go for nothing is consider a sign of ambition?
  22. Well 12 million+ wages for Jrod is a useful start and I can't believe we can only buy players if we sell. I'd also be looking to off load Clasie, Long, Targett and JWP if it were me.
  23. The squad needs some work, I it find hard to believe anyone would be that happy if we go into next season having bought in one defender for the future. We have a few players who could definitely be upgraded that's not spending money for the sake of it that's improving the team something we should all want. If we really are serious about not selling our best players then this is the ideal summer to get in a couple of quality players to strengthen the side rather than just replacing the usual summer exodus. Having said that just spending big money for the sake of it to show ambition is pointless the money needs to be spent right.
  24. Everton fans have a mixed reaction to seeing Cuco play... http://www.bing.com/news/apiclick.aspx?ref=BDIGeneric&aid=C98EA5B0842DBB9405BBF071E1DA7651530FFE51&tid=79BEE77545624A5E80A8940DB0F26ADB&url=http%3a%2f%2fwww.hitc.com%2fen-gb%2f2017%2f07%2f23%2feverton-fans-react-on-twitter-to-cuco-martina-display-against-kr%2f&c=7404869045474196052&mkt=en-gb
