  1. And the second one I've seen (one of those annoying slide shows) 9th Southampton, even with the inevitable loss of Virgil van Dijk, will be in that mid-table mix. http://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/news/predicted-end-of-season-premier-league-table/ss-AApeJB0?ocid=spartandhp#image=13
  2. ......to fall foul of the new diving rules this season and get a two match ban English crackdown on divers gets first airing in season's opener http://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/news/english-crackdown-on-divers-gets-first-airing-in-seasons-opener/ar-AApeKrD?li=AA572I&ocid=spartandhp my guess Shane Long...
  3. Seems Klopp doesn't like it when others want to sign his best players Liverpool 'reject £89million bid for Philippe Coutinho' as Jurgen Klopp insists Brazilian will not be sold http://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/news/liverpool-reject-%C2%A389million-bid-for-philippe-coutinho-as-jurgen-klopp-insists-brazilian-will-not-be-sold/ar-AApeCnN?li=AA572I&ocid=spartandhp
  4. People said the same about Morgan and Victor. If the window closes and he is still at saints he will buckle down and play, just like they did, and people will quickly forgot all this crap if he plays well.
  5. What if Mane goes on strike saying his head is Italy Liverpool would have no choice but to sell then surely?
  6. In fairness I was looking for the interview he did this year but that was the first one that popped up in the search engine which made me LOL.
  7. this one http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/27058403
  8. I can't see this being, even close to, true but I would **** myself if it happened Reds forward Sadio Mane has emerged as a new target for Italian giants Inter Milan with the club expecting to bid £35m for the 25-year-old.(Daily Express)
  9. Mid table and no cup run. We were a pretty average side last season and it doesn't look like we are planning to do much to improve the squad. Might change my mind if we bringing in a couple of decent signings but more of last season is my prediction.
  10. It's a battle of wills and I hope the club hold their nerve, VVD isn't in a strong position here, and I'd like to see the club put down a marker that we won't be pushed around by players, agents and Liverpool. His head will come around (just like Morgan's and Victor's) once the window closes and he faces a season, in the prime of his career, on the side lines.
  11. It also misses the point that Liverpool have stated they won't bid for VVD unless saints give them the green light to.
  12. This is rather interesting take on it. As a result, the reporter believes Liverpool’s patient approach could pay dividends. “Man City have been linked but spent their money elsewhere. Chelsea signed Antonio Rudiger. There aren’t many obvious suitors,” Marcotti told ESPN FC. “Liverpool are doing the right thing waiting this out and getting a price that they are comfortable with.” http://www.bing.com/cr?IG=AA6587E7D6EA4A1FAD976A96C4246FDF&CID=161F458E320C648E34CE4F4133CD6549&rd=1&h=grmG72GHhuY49K9P8xhz_0hWat7OQHsq6HIjDDzAC5I&v=1&r=http%3a%2f%2fwww.thesportreview.com%2ftsr%2f2017%2f07%2fliverpool-fc-transfer-news-virgil-van-dijk-approach-gabriele-marcotti%2f&p=DevEx,5043.1
  13. I think Davis played because he was captain (after VVDs injury) so had to be shoe horned into the side somehow even if it was at the expense of another player that might be better suited.
  14. This. Why people keep saying we have lots of players so we don't need signings is odd we have lots of average players who we could surely find upgrades for.
  15. Is there any signs we do want to play a pressing game? In our pre-season games so far I wouldn't say we have seen a big increase in pressing. Little spells of it during games but not a high energy high press type of style through out.
  16. Very much so. We haven't quite resembled the mini spurs I was expecting from the chatter that accompanied MoPes arrival (though that might take time) with a very high press game. If anything we don't look to be playing massively different to last season yesterday all three goals came from crossing out wide, plenty of nice passing at times to keep the ball (including backwards) the main difference just seems to be players being more clinical in front of goal.
  17. So with the new season rapidly approaching the next couple of weeks will see the media full of the annual Premier league prediction articles. I thought it might be good to have a thread to share how the pundits think we will do this season so we can all disagree or agree and look back and laugh at (hopefully) at the end of the season. So to get the ball rolling First up is Old saggy chops in the Sun today and he isn't hopeful for saints. Arsenal Top seven Bournemouth Safe Brighton relegation fight Burnley relegation fight Chelsea Title challengers Crystal Palace Safe Everton Top six Liverpool Top six Leicester Top half Huddersfield relegation fight Man City Champions Man Utd Top four Newcastle Relegation fight Southampton Relegation fight Stoke city Mid table Swansea Safe Spurs Top four West ham Top half West Brom Top half Watford Relegation fight I guess if anyone will know what a relegation fodder saints team looks like it would be good old 'Arry....
  18. I thought Brentford looked a better outfit than ASSE.
  19. well it seemed Austin was playing in the 10 position rather than leading the line which is odd. I guess the manager was trying to get everyone minutes on the pitch rather than some sort of tactical experiment.
  20. what question is that then what he is having for tea to night? If we both agree Bertrand will start in front of Targett there is no question...
  21. Hardly no chance we will start Targett in the PL if Bertrand is still here and fit to play.
  22. and 2 balls I bet Les will be thinking about cashing in or Bertrand now with Targetts two assists
