Spurs made it easy for Liverpool yesterday though Mane will punish teams that give him that much space to run into.
-
Mate can you keep that stuff to your grinder account...
-
Given that everyone who has had success against pool the last few weeks has done so by dropping deep, defending in numbers to deny Liverpool any space and than countering on them yeah playing a high line is pretty mental. Mane had the freedom of Anfield in that game but Poch only has one way of playing I guess you have to give him credit for sticking to his guns in regards to his football philosophy.

Comedy defending for both goals from spurs today all over the shop at the back.

Sunderland 0 Saints 4 - Post Match Humble Pie
doddisalegend replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
Exactly confidence is a big thing having someone up font who can actual find the net will play a big part in that. -
Is that all we must be slipping...

That's this place all over after we lose we get a whole load of drivel about the club being **** when we win the whole thing swings the other and everything is amazing. Heaven forbid people maybe look at things objectively and actually admit Les/the board/ the club can do some things right as well as ****ing stuff up sometimes and credit were credits due the new striker looks like a good bit of business so far. Still I can't talk it's Saturday night and I've got nothing better to do than come on here and watch the daily flame war ....now where did I put that oil.
-
So how many ex saints were involved in the pool vs spurs game tonight?
-
True although Defoe has scored 14 goals this season (which I think outstrips any of our players ) so keeping him under wraps is no mean feet.
-
How's it any more childish than demanding Les gets sacked?
-
I have always said I'd take 17th if we actually won a cup. Finishing in a good league position is all well and nice but really unless you win a league it don't amount to much. Winning a cup final now that's something that lives with you forever.
-
another player we have Les to thank for?
-
As long as he's not taking a penalty

I'm a season ticket holder I'm very invested in my team and I still think you're coming across as a self entitled sheet drencher....just saying

Sunderland 0 Saints 4 - Post Match Humble Pie

wow thank god we managed a win in that massive relegation 6 pointer..... On a more serious note goes to show how a striker with confidence changes the whole dynamic of the team. -
True but unlike most of our attackers this season he got into a dangerous position that helped him get the slice of luck.
-
yeah I'm keeping in my team right now

Ross Wilson appointed as Director of Scouting & Recruitment
doddisalegend replied to Ulrich van Gobbel's topic in The Saints
Wilson, who hails from Falkirk, has worked wonders at Southampton to help ensure stability and a steady flow of highly-rated youth prospects and first-team players since he took the role. While it's certainly impossible to fault the board's ambition here - Wilson seems to be one of the very best in the business - it's worth wondering why he'd be willing to move to Rangers mmm pretty sure plenty of saints fans might not agree.... -
maybe that's the secret don't play to many games and leave with your rep intact
-
Surely that only applies to fans who do home and away games (and fair play to them). The saint fan who lives up north and does away games instead of home games because they are easier isn't really doing anything that a guy living in Southampton, that only does home games, is doing. Same as someone who lives in say Devon but travels up for home games is he any less of a fan than a guy who lives in the midlands and does Stoke, Leicester and Westbrom? People saying "oh I managed Israel, Prague and Milan but home games are hard to get to." ...erm yeah ok. Trying to gauge fan loyalty based on what games people attend is pointless because everyone circumstances are different. The fairest way to work ticket allocation would have been for the club to just count all saints games home and away.

and vice verse my ST is in the Itchen North when we score at the Chapel end I normally have very little idea of who scored and exactly how at the time. Nor will I see a trip in a crowded box at that end. Its the digital age. Chances are people at home have had better views of every major incident (in multiple angles with replays) at a game than I have stood half way up the Itchen stand. I'd still rather be at a live game any day but the idea people at the game are in some way better informed about every aspect of a game in this day and age is clearly not so.
