you seen the team sheet?
-
Not sure I agree Long and Jrod are to similar (probably spend half the game trying to take up the same positions and getting in each others way) if one of the two was Austin (which of course it wont be anytime soon) instead I think it might work better.
-
OK I found this it might not be super accurate but even if its ball park paying Morgan a 120K a week would make him the highest paid Everton player by some margin (40K so more a week than anyone else in the squad) so for that reason I think its unlikely that Everton will be meeting his wage demands. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/galleries/4544/Every-Everton-ace-s-weekly-wages-revealed/Tony-Hibbert-25-000-per-week-500059

We might lose but I don't see us shipping three again anytime soon even Liverpool and Chelsea couldn't put three past us and I'm pretty sure I don't rate Stokes attack that highly. Of course if FF decides to gift them three goals like he did at Palace there's not much we can do.....

Sam Gallagher - Joins Blackburn: Official

arguably though his confidence must be sky high right now which is more than you can say for our other strikers. -
I believe I read that he had his wages cut, along with several other players, after man u failed to secure CL football last season. Where ever he goes he will be taking a wage cut.

Sam McQueen doesn't seem to have struggled with the pressure I'm all for bringing in academy boys in to the first team. -
Surely the club must be looking at him If Romeu gets injured we've got very little as back up . If nothing else the club could get him to talk to the under 23s about the why moving to a big club is a bad move for your career on a daily basis

I read that we have allowed just 37 shots on target against our goal this season (the best in the PL) and we've conceded 15 so that's one goal in roughly every 2.4 shots on target. I wish our strikers had a conversion rate like that....

doesn't that apply to anyone we bring in? -

on current form 0.... -
I think the midfield is more balanced with Davis or Hoj paired with either JWP or Clasie rather than Davis and Hoj together. Other than that seems about right. How long has Boufal got before he leaves for the ACON? might as well play him as much as we can until then and bring Tadic back up speed with sub appearances before then.

Being the point surely? no sales in Jan I can remember (other than Cork)
-
He is still only 25! He has managed to fit it more **** ups in his short life than most people manage in their entire lives.
-
We gave him a new contract to take him up to 34 I have no idea why Fonte or anyone else would think we need to offer him another one.
-
So you think the club are stupid enough to flog VVD in Jan and then not even bother to get in a CB to replace him leaving the squad with just two CBs. I know people get frustrated by player sales but Les and co have never shown that level of incompetence...
-
Wow that's a lot of money on average CBs...
-
Not useless just getting on a bit buying older players isn't generally good value for a club that develops players to sell on. As a short term loan for the second half of the season he'd be great but I doubt Sunderland or Defoe would see that as a good move.
-
Article above says we have an option to recall him early. Don't know how accurate that is.
-
Didn't even look at the author?
-
The fact the Fonte looks close to the exit door is the only thing that makes me thank VVD might stay another season. I can't see the club wanting to replace both our CBs in one summer and I would imagine Fonte is the CB the club feel they need to replace first.

Interesting article on potential striker options for saints in Jan http://www.espn.co.uk/football/club/southampton/376/blog/post/3018595/southampton-striker-conundrum-could-be-resolved-by-daniel-sturridge-jermain-defoe
-
Why would they sell in Jan when he could be the difference between going down or staying up? What ever they sold him for would be little compensation compared to the money lost for being relegated and they can always sell him in the summer if they go down

Bournemouth beat Leicester...

first win in 10 isn't it? Great stuff I wish we were that good oops Everton down to 10..
