My guess is puel has written this one off and is protecting players for arguably the more important game on thursday.

The culprit for our downfall day played in both games though....you can't really regulate for goal keeper brain farts.

To many games where that has happened this season though. Quite often we look better than the other team except were it counts in the opposition box.

If only he had rotated our keeper today.....

Agree Austin at home where we tend to dominate teams and play Long away were we tend to play on the break which Austin's lack of pace kills him.

18 police forces now investigating historic abuse in football I doubt there are going to be to many clubs that aren't going to be caught up in this. I also see the first cases in kids athletics are being reported to.

Hopefully those responsible are caught and punished for their horrible crimes. Having said that this happened 30 odd years ago I'm not sure the current owners can take much blame. Is there even anyone still at the club who would have been at the club 30 years ago.?

not in January it isn't. I think we all know we won't be holding onto him but I doubt the club would sell him mid campaign.

The squad rotation is giving him more game time and Yoshida always seems to have his best spells when he is playing regularly.

He is a class above the rest of the team. We have squad of good players but VVD is probably the only special player we have right now. Having said that I'm pretty sure we rested him in some of the other league cup games I seem to recall Fonte and Yoshida playing together.
