Commentator phrase that annoy or nobody else says
doddisalegend replied to whelk's topic in The Saints
Any commentary ( hell everything ever said by) done by Stan Collymore. "Playing the game the right way" as if there is only one way to play football. -
Don't know how accurate this is but this is a run down of current PL managers salaries. Apparently Claude is the 8th best paid PL manager on circa £3.2 million a year. Make of that what you will. http://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/football/how-much-does-each-premier-league-manager-get-paid/ss-BBvU8GY?ocid=spartandhp#image=1

Feel for the player but lol at WHU record signing doing himself on his debut. Ni chance of Pogba doing the same tonight I suppose.... -
So looking at that article Under Armour aren't against hunting just hunting with a spear. If he had killed the bear with a gun there would be less fuss. The lady being sponsored was sponsored as a hunter after all. Personally I have no interest in hunting but its big in north America so it should hardly be a surprise our American sponsors sell hunting gear.

Happy days. It does beg the question why so many are complaining about the clubs lack of ambition. Or how for the last three summers we've been told the squad is weaker than previous seasons....
-
Defeat wouldn't be a surprise at all but I think we will give them a decent game probably one goal in it. I'm certainly not expecting some sort of Villa/Sunderland thrashing everyone seems to be predicting.
-
Behave after the first 30 mins (where we were admittedly terrible) we were by far the better team. It wasn't like Watford played 60 plus minutes with 10 men it was more like 15 minutes and we were well on top by then. We just needed better finishing on some of those 25 attempts on goal (something we have struggled with for the last few seasons to be honest).

Where would we play him? In Koeman's team with crosses raining in to the box Benteke would have been good for us. Looking at the way Puel wants to play I don't think we are going to need CF rather strikers with pace and the ability to beat a man (or get in behind). -
It's America I doubt he was doing anything illegal (though I'm surprised he used a spear instead of some sort of military grade assault rifle). Of course some people will find hunting distasteful but unless he has done something illegal I don't see why they would pull his wife's sponsorship.
-
Yeah I saw that interesting he feels that way after only a couple of weeks.
-
Most probably he doesn't care what Puel said. I was expecting at least a little "Fonte is a good player I like him" sort of thing from Jose Mourinho just to stir things a bit.

Fonte news? Manchester United v Southampton (Fri, 20:00 BST) Simon Stone BBC Sport Posted at 14:29 Transfer deadline day is drawing near, which means managers start to clam up about who they are looking to sign. Southampton's Jose Fonte is rumoured to be on Manchester United's radar, probably as cover for new signing Eric Bailly, who is due to go to the African Cup of Nations with the Ivory Coast in January. Saints manager Claude Puel questioned the timing of such speculation on Wednesday. Jose Mourinho was not interested in joining the debate. "I don't comment. I don't care," he said. Not a ringing endorsement of Fonte there ?
-
Starts off about Fonte but then talks about Southampton ( a few of the facts seem a little off if I'm honest)more generally. Interesting bit to me was the bit near the bottom when an unnamed agent talks about dealing with southampton during player transfers. Think you could take it a few ways so people can make up their own minds http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/man-utd-transfer-news-fonte-11764566

Saints Won, Watford 1.....Post match meltdown
doddisalegend replied to Ohio Saint's topic in The Saints
Well I agree with your nonsense I thought Romeu hadn't a decent game. The Watford goal was a collective failure IMO. Targett should have done better to stop the ball to Deeney, Cedric should have done better to stop Deeney's header and Yoshida should have come to challenge Capoue ( or failing that put his body on the line to block the shot). -
Not sure what to make of this sounds like our kind of signing but doesn't sound particularly exciting. http://www.footballfancast.com/football-news/southampton-and-stoke-to-battle-for-dutch-starlet

If that second half performance is anything to go by that lad is going to be quality for us this season. -

How the hell did he manage that has even had a chance to play for them yet? -
Those French woman hey...
-
Fair enough don't really have problem with Mane. Lovern or Lallana on the other hand...

http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/701062/Liverpool-injury-news-Sadio-Mane-Jurgen-Klopp Hopeful nothing to serious for the lad.
-
Have you ever had a new boss? In my experience they always like to turn up and change the way everything is done ( even if it was working well) just to show the know best.....
-
Well I guess it worked for Puel last season. I'm assuming that's,what his last team played and hasn't just hit on this formation over the summer.
-
Personally I think Cedric is generally better going forward than defending Ryan will have no problem in this formation not so sure about Targett if I'm honest. I assume Pied will have no problem playing in this formation.
