Nathaniel Clyne Joins Liverpool - Official

26 I believe Decent player but I can't imagine he'd leave Everton for us and would probably be out of price range anyway. No doubt our new RB will be someone most of us have never heard of. -

You say it like the club has a choice the best players won't stay so what choice does the club have? It's not the club's fault that modern football is the way it is and that players, already earning more than most can dream of, frequently feel entitled to even higher wages. -

Will he be here next season? He has had three good games for us this season which probably means he is off to Arsenal in the summer...... ..... -
Liverpool fans find something else (other than Lovern) to get upset about.. http://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/news/dunkin-donuts-sorry-for-liverpool-badge-gaffe/ar-BBi00Fv?ocid=U218DHP

You say it like the club have a choice. We can only offer to pay what we can afford. If a player won't sign a contract or wants more money selling is about our only option unless we want them to walk for free. As much as we all wanted Morgan to be forced to stay last summer it probably sent a warning message out to those players who think they can do better that signing a long term contract might not be in their best interests if the club are going to actually hold them to their contract. -

Money talks... we don't have the kind of money that talks loud enough. -

Get used to it this is how it will be until we become **** an no one wants our players again. Our best bet, as a club, is to take a punt on cheap but potentially talented footballers from the lower leagues or abroad, supplemented by academy products, who will come to us for a chance to play in the PL if they do well we sell them on for profit. We will never be big enough to hold on to our best players when the big boys come calling even when it's arguable any of last summers leavers have done their careers, if not their bank balances, any favours by moving last summer. -

People said the same about Shaw. -
To right Mr Frie....Bearsy. Personally I think this sort of thing should be allowed to if a player doesn't like a refs decision they should be allowed to give the ref a bit of a shove. In fact we could just get rid of refs and let the players sort out disagreements like real men.
-
know I now you're on a wind up ......players should be able to act like dicks if they don't like a tackle they were subjected to:lol:
-
That would send out a message that players can retaliate physically if a challenge is deemed bad enough which can't be right. The rules and bans have to stay in place. Matic (or any other player) can't react like that no matter what the justification or the game will go to pot. As others have said as Barnes tackle wasn't consider worthy of punishment there can be no justification for reducing Matic's (deserved) ban for violent conduct.

If you had hair like his would you want to muck it up heading a dirty football the man has his style to think of;)

Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 0-2 Liverpool
doddisalegend replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Thing is it's not like he has even got the CV to act like that his entire footballing success is winning the play offs with Swansea. Mourhino is a **** but at least he has got trophies and success to back that up. -
In my opinion Pelle is a decent enough striker for the PL but not (surprisingly) up there with the sort of attacking talent the other teams in the top 7 can put on the pitch. Not much we can do about it as a club decent is about the best we can hope for unless someone **** hot comes in from the academy (bit like spurs with Kane). Lets face it if we had a Costa, Sanchez or Aguero we be **** hot but I can't see that sort of player ever signing for saints so we have to settle for 10-15 goals a season strikers and get our midfield to provide more goals. it would really help if the likes of Davis, JWP and Morgan added a few goals to their game.

Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 0-2 Liverpool

From the guardians 10 things we learnt article. 4) No need for Rodgers to act like an own brand Mourinho It is at times hard to work out what Brendan Rodgers is getting at, or indeed whether he’s really getting at anything at all or just following a template of learned Top Manager Behaviour. Certainly it is not immediately obvious what the point of coming out against Southampton’s match day programme editor after his team’s 2-0 victory at St Mary’s Stadium. For one thing Rodgers was wrong: Adam Lallana and Rickie Lambert were mentioned in the programme on the occasion of their return to the club. And secondly it is obviously none of his business what Southampton choose to put in a programme that was, naturally enough, devoted to current team matters rather than a fawning memorial to the opposition. The world is already full enough of people demanding respect/more respect/some kind of an apology, although in fairness this is perhaps a niche kind of low on that front. Football on the other hand has always been a place of mischief and iconoclasm. This is why we watch it in the first place. For the record Lambert was greeted warmly on his return, Lallana routinely booed in response to the circumstances of his departure, which ended with the player using an England press conference to deny he had threatened to go on strike if Southampton didn’t sell him. And that should be the end of it. There were so many other worthy topics of conversation at the end of this match: Liverpool’s fine current run; Raheem Sterling’s mature sense of menace; Filip Djuricic’s excellent full debut. Instead we got an editorial conference, a needless attitude of offence, and the spectacle of a manager who might have taken a moment to dwell on his own recent successes instead coming on like an own brand Mourinho, seeking out a contrived and unnecessary moment of friction. Barney Ronay -
Yesterdays Solent coverage was ****ing me right off. Blackmore giving it the full Lallana Charm offensive (backed up by Dave "He's a good lad" Merrington) seemed more excited when Lallana touched the ball than when saints did.

Koeman says Mané was dropped due to discipline
doddisalegend replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
TBH if that was the punishment I'd probably make an effort to be late:p....difference being I tolerate my job and Mane, I guess, ****ing loves his job. I remember saints making a video on Koeman's first training session. Kelvin was interviewed and mentioned he had turned up late and the new boss was not impressed so I think Koeman laid out his expectations early. Saints success this season is built on hard work and team work for that you need rules. Koeman made the right call I'd say. -
Very likely he won't be the only one out the door in the summer I expect the same crap as last summer if I'm honest.
-
I have no idea............... but is it weird that I'd be happy to just keep our current owners?
-
Apparently this applies to tyro league games as well as my nippers team found out yesterday...........
-
I think at little red light has started blinking at the GCHQ internet monitoring division..........
-
Well get writing a decent ditty then post up on here and get people to agree to sing it. Seeing as football chants are pretty much spur of the moment things it's hardly surprising most are a bit crap.
-
Maybe not better but certainly no worse either. Tadic has more assists but less goals the Lallana. Lambert and Pelle are pretty much clones of each other (though one has better hair).
-
What even Citeh who were the best team to come SMS this season IMO?
-
Nah Big Vic and Fonte will have him in their pockets all afternoon long...........
