love this one He's an awful defender. Called it long ago into the season. He's only ever had one good performance and that was a friendly against an injury ridden Dortmund. The man's a fraud. No wonder he couldn't wait to get here and hand in a transfer request, I bet he couldn't believe that Liverpool were in for him. He has literally zero composure on the ball. His postional sense is close to none. The amount of times I've seen him get beat in the air. And got totally outplayed, out muscled, bullied by the wonder Zamrogba. The man's a fraud. How he got into the starting line up today is a disgrace to the players who performed well the other night (Kolo). Hopefully he's not here next season, and the cheek of some of our fans to claim he's better that Mamadou Sakho, **** out of here. This one is great to Put it another way, we bought 3 Southampton players and we are now s**te. Southampton on the other hand are not. It was bad business.

Oh dammit QPR oh well still 4pts in front of citeh:)

Fonte for me stepped up big time this season, considering he was considered the weak link in defence last season, being made captain has worked out well to.

love this from the bbc When Charlie Austin isn't banging them in, he's setting them up. QPR win a 50-50 ball in midfield through Eduardo Vargas who spreads play out wide to Austin. A sensational cross comes in from the right and City defender Martin Demichelis, under pressure from Bobby Zamora, turns it past his own keeper. Jose must be laughing into his red wine. And Ronald, for that matter.

Come on saggy chops hold on for the win.

At what point does winning every game get tedious?
doddisalegend replied to Chewy's topic in The Saints
TBF we've been winning pretty regularly ever since the take over, bar our first season back in the PL, my kids have grown up used to saints winning on a regular basis. It never gets boring though........ -
from the Liverpool fc forum http://forums.liverpoolfc.com/threads/366430-Weekend-Football-Thread(08th-09th-Nov-14)-Premier-League-Other-Games/page2 To think that I had a lot of sympathy for the Saints fans in the summer because we, and a few other teams, had raided them. Boy are they laughing at us now. yes, yes we are

13 goals last season, in the top flight, playing in a team not set up to play to his strengths is hardly passed it. There a lot of sides in the lower half of the PL for who Lambert would be an asset. Liverpool buying him was bizarre, and the wrong move for him based on his heart instead of his head, but he could still do a good job for a team like stoke, Sunderland, Burnley or Newcastle I reckon.

Seems about right

Especially when Lee Barnard has been loaned out by Southend to Stevenage

THE GUARDIAN: Interview with Dušan Tadić
doddisalegend replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Getting in his come and get me call for next summer early I see It offers an insight into what makes Tadic tick. His favourite Premier League player when he was a boy was Thierry Henry and he had a soft spot for the “amazing” Arsenal sides that won titles in 2002 and 2004. -
Looking at the fixtures 4 of the top 6 have very winnable games and Arsenal and Swansea play each other we could do with a good result from this game (and the villa game) to give us a little cushion going into three tough games after that. Of course if QPR can some how beat citeh I wouldn't mind

We will lose Dean Hammond the avenger is going to score a perfect hat trick as he dominates Morgan and Davis. Dean will start the game by staring down Victor, who will curl up in a ball and cry for his mummy, before putting in the performance of his life. After he scores his third goal he will run up to the Northam lift his shirt to reveal the message " you should have kept me".................

Surely if Roy is picking on form Ryan should be pretty much 1st choice can't think of another English LB performing as well as him right now. Shaw has hardly impressed at Man U. Of course looking at the team Roy probably isn't picking players on form.
-
yes but Chambers is in to so I guess Clyne will get plenty of time to catch up with Rickie on the bench during the game
-
Nice quote from Les Reed "Whether the guys who’ve gone look back and go, ‘Perhaps I shouldn’t have left,’ it doesn’t really bother us.”
-
Not really as none of J-rod, long or Mane are a replacement for Pelle . If we lose Pelle to injury you can't stick Long (or the others) up front and expect him to play the same way Lambert could play the roll Pelle players IMO. Honestly I don't think Lambert would come back but we do really need a proper centre forward as back up to Pelle.

Cool. Interesting that MLT turns up at the training ground sometimes
-
yep this . If we lose a few games on the trot or a favourite player is sold it will all kick off again.

Fan ownership (shudder) like pompey;)

Snap my that was my sons first game aged six because I thought he might not see another saints game. Since then he has been lucky enough to see some of the best times Saints have had since the early 80s so much so he gets quite shocked when saints lose. I have no problem with Markus being credited with saving our club at all.

Loved that. Ralph gets a lot of stick but I think he shines on occasions like this.
-
Think that might be the sticking point in the plan you only have to go back 4 months to find this place full of fans demanding KL do one........

Now that is good excellent tribute to the man
