Well yes, I wouldn't want a company that supplied say chemical weapons to a third world dictator or such like sponsoring my club. A local company seems good to me that I've never heard of them is niether here nor there. Although if we could get playboy as a sponsor I wouldn't be unhappy, I imangine they could help to make the matchday programme a lot more fun..........

I've just remembered Wednesday signed Madine from Carlisle in the window, he seems to have made a nasty habit of scoring against us hopefully Fonte will keep him quiet on sat.

I don 't know I get the feeling Fonte and Jaidi are much happier playing against big bastard centre forwards than little nippy ones. Physical they can handle, pace seems to scare the **** out of them.

Weaker IMO you can't compare the teams that came down with the ones that went up last season. Both Plymouth and Wednesday came down with cash flow problems. Swindon are a shadow of their formerselves, having rather stupidly offloaded arguably the best striking pair in league 1 last season. Brighton are better than last season (but they were turnning it around towards the end of last season under Poyet). MK dons have improved over the team we tonked four times last season having got rid of Ince. Of the teams that came up bompey have had a good season, Rochdale not bad the others indifferent. Hudders aren't much different to last season.

Are the two points that a) we will win our games in hand b) our rivals will **** up anytime soon based on any actual facts or just gut feelings? It seems there are a lot of ifs and buts to the arguments on this thread. It's so much like last season were people kept insisting the play offs were reachable (how'd that work out?) games in hand, form on our side blah, blah. Faith isn't the same as fact. Having said that we're not out of this by a long shot as long as we keep winning. Truth is we might not need to win every game but I would really like the team to play like we do.

I give up predicting these things on paper it looks like points in the bag but then I never saw us losing to Walsall or Brentford. When I think it's going to be tough we normally win. So on that note I'm half expecting us to lose it 1-0. Got keep winning really just to keep the two in front looking over their shoulders. Still it will be nice to get back down to SMS after missing Yeovil with a bad back.

Really? We were much worse against Rochdale and Brentford at SMS. Taking four points of Posh would have been good had we not lead them twice by two goals at their place those two extra points would have been mighty useful about now. Still you can't really pin it on anyone game if we don't go up it will be becuase we failed to perform to many times this season, not just anyone match in particular.

He is the cleaner at SMS Nigel Adkins brought him with him from scunny looks like we could get the whole cleaning crew from scunny now top outfit when it comes to unrinal cleaning...........

This season is starting to feel a lot like last season what with the games in hand the only thing different is that we're slightly higer becuase we don't have a 10 pt deduction. The problem with games in hand is they become such big must win games, the pressure kicks in and we get a result like Oldham at SMS last season and we're fuked.

Didn't we spend two months rooted to the foot of league 1 last season? I don't think wednesday have done that. In both cases it's given fans of other clubs plenty of laughs at our expense.

Still think it will be to much for them to many games in hand, all those extra games are going to catch up with them I reckon.

Kind of reminds you of another big team in league 1 from down south................ I'm sure next season they'll be heading back up at least they'll likely have sheff utd to keep'em company and give them some derby games.

Lots of ifs there. Another if is posh go on a scorching winning streak (not unlikely the way there now playing) and we lose a couple of games (which could happen)....................

Average gate at wednesday this season 18,364 (saints is 21,615) I see posh are giving the owls a tonking. Imagaine if posh had sorted their defence out earlier in the season they'd probably be promoted already they can't stop ****ing scoring the ******s they've hit form and just the wrong time for us.

Lets hope he throws a Puncheon like hissy fit or goes on strike like Jones did. Fair play to posh though, they know they're in with a shout of promtion so there holding onto him (and who can blame them). In the summer he'll be sold but it's nice to see a club make a player stick to his contract in this day an age.
