Martin as well, in those games he played early in the season I was impressed at how he was giving orders to supposedly senoir players around him.

I've given up trying to work out the matches now. I suppose it depends which saints side turn up. Hopefully the team will be seeking to make up for tuesday and desperate to beat Colchester at the 4th time of asking and really go at them. I can't help feeling we worry to much about the opposition in away games and seem to change our style and personal rather than trying to play like we do at SMS. If only we could play like we did for the last 20min against Swindon every week.

I still think our squad is strong enough most teams in this league would kill for a line up and strength in depth we have. Bournemouth have managed to get to second without even having a full subs bench at times. Just how much of an advantage do we need to get promoted?

We were pretty rubbish in the PL too (yes I know we beat Man U and Liverpool a couple of times but still). Is this a varation on the only turning up to watch Manure. What your basically saying is it doesn't matter if were rubbish along as we're being rubbish while playing the likes of Arsenal rather than colchester?

Well we could end up in second or not TBH I didn't think we would be in this postion came this part of the season (I had imagined us in 1st easing away from the chasing pack come christmas -more fool me) ................... I do think the OP is right though we're missing a couple of leaders on the pitch, Hammond is very quiet for a captain.

Do we need the best players? Do Brighton and Bompey have all the best players in the league? probably not. Take bompey they lost their two best strikers, their best midfielder and their highly rated manager hasn't even slowed them down. What ever it is they have, that's what we need I'm guessing it's not something we can buy with money.

When we've won as many trophies as arse or manure we can afford to be picky but seeing as we've won pretty much diddly squat in the last 40 years prehaps we should treasure what ever we get?

I was quite happy to spend a second season in league one becuase I figured us winning it as champions by christmas would put us in good stead for the champoinship (were I'd be happy to stay until the prem destroys it's self) and it's nice being a big fish in a little pond for a while. Sadly I didn't expect us to sack our cup winning manager three league games into the season or that we would spend most of the season wishing we were as good as Bournemouth. Still never mind like leeds sooner or later we will get promoted and can go back to being the little fish in a big pond.

ummmm surely the same applies to Nigel? I'm amazed how many people slagged off Pardew at every turn last season yet defend Nigel to the death for doing the exact same things this season. Nigel has the same mission as Pardew if we fail to go up this season Nigel has failed far worse than Pardew did.

What someone like Wotton? some of our best results last season came playing 4-5-1 with Wotton sat in front of the defence certainly he was not a brilliant footballer but he was vocal and gave his all. Is it any coincidence that Yeovils results took a big up turn when Wotton went into their side?

At last someone gets it. I think the atmosphere at SMS will be tense for the rest of the season HTBH

Just a question. Has anyone ever had bad radiation posioning? I haven't nor have I seen it with my own eyes, I did hear about it on the radio once, which was enough to tell me it's a very bad thing............. Just saying

They don't need go to the game to see the league table, it's doesn't matter how great we played we came with 0pts against a side in the bottom four and wasted one of games in hand thats the issue not if we played well.

I believe we have averaged a new manager every 10 months since around 2000 to now. Nigels been here a while so his time must almost be up. The thing is in a higher league at any other time if we were 5th we'd all be really happy. Down in league one it seems like faliure all things taken into account people are frustrated. Sacking Nigel won't make any difference though we'd all just be frustrated with the next guy instead.

He got sacked five games into the season............ HTBH I don't think Nigels going anywhere (yet) but if we don't get promoted this season I think all bets are off RE Nigels Job status

Oh I agree. Last season I expected nothing and got a lot more than I hoped (god wembley seems like a long time ago) this season I expected us to tear this league up with a settled team and manager instead it's been pretty dissapointing in large parts for me personally.
