What no recall for Forecast I'm shocked .................... just goes to show how highly rated Tommy is at saints doesn't it?
-
yep that was the impression I got, just getting himself in the first team when Sturrock took over.
-
Wow kind of tough place to go out on loan at the moment not exactly going to fill him with the winning mentality. Still good luck to him hope he gets lots of first team action.

Eddie Mitchell Stirs The Pot Before Cherries Game

well you've made my evening what was this thread about again I seem to have lost my train of thought............................................................ -
SAINTS fans - probably the hardest to please in the world
doddisalegend replied to theyin's topic in The Saints
Totally agree my expectations for this season were high on the back of the way last season ended. Couple that with the feeling that we are so much better off in every way than the rest of the clubs in this division means that being fourth just feels like under achievement to me. Go back a few seasons and if we had been fourth in the championship or PL at this stage of the season I'd be over the moon. This season though it just seems poor. -
Eddie Mitchell Stirs The Pot Before Cherries Game

Well they might if they were in the same league. There's no point us giving it the billy big b ollocks attitude when it comes to bompey seeing as they're above us in the table (a fact that I find bloody embarrasing I have to say). -

Yes they do. Really we are no different from football fans everywhere some will never see anything bad, some will never see anything good and most of us change mood depending on how the last couple of games went. If I'm honest my expectations were very very high for this season and they've not been meet so far so I'm disappointed. Others seem over the moon with the way things are going so fair play to them. -
How many games can we afford to lose from now on?
doddisalegend replied to CWD's topic in The Saints
Well we lost nine last season plus three more if you count the -10 as three loses and we just missed out on playoffs let alone autos. so twevle might even be to high a number. Our rubbish start to this season (espeically Mr Wilkins Craptastic 0pts from 3 games if you include the Dons match) has meant we've being playing catch up for some time it also means every draw and loss now can really hurt us. We had our obligatory crap patch at the start of the season and in IMO we can't afford another one now. So no more losses for the rest of the season has got to be the aim (though I know that won't happen.) -
Yes they are Oldham losing, Charlton losing, Dons losing and Peterbrough drawing all the chasing pack seem to be having a bad night. Wenesday losing again I think they're out of it for this season I was worried the takeover would give them a new lease of life but it hasn't. Sorry Peterbrough winning - bugger

Personally I don't boo I have been known to groan though, sometimes when you see a bad pass or poor judgement from a player you kind just do the old face palm ohhhh thing without thinking. Seems I'm not the only one though as the ohhhh is quite audible sometimes. I'm afraid though I find it hard to have to much sympthy for a well payed footballer who lives a lifestyle most of us can only dream of who gets a bit of stick when he clearly can't be arsed. Getting a bit of stick is something footballers have to live with surely? I don't think the new boys deserved any stick on sat though I mean Fortes played what 20mins for the club? what do people exepect him to have achieved a double hatrick?

What will Charlton do with their game in hand tonight
doddisalegend replied to thefunkygibbons's topic in The Saints
Charlton or us? We hardly set the pitch on fire on saturday either. -
Wow if we think saints fans are bad have a look at this article on the beeb about Ronaldo and the Corinthins fans, puts the odd jeer or boo from us in perspective ..................... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/9397354.stm

Can't disagree with that. Although I think it was Wilkins little tenure that ****ed us the most (if you count MK away as a Wilkins match) it was played 3 - pts 0 give us back some of those points now and we'd be laughing. Thats why no matter how well Nige is doing we need to do better every loss or even draw will hurt us considering how close the top of the table is.
-
Who gets to decide who these super fans are then? Particularly if this forum is anything to go by it would seem the most saints fans consider most other saints fans to in fact be morons.........
-
You see thats were I differ I want to see good matches of football and win, do you really want to sit through rubbish like last saturday week in week out going well at least we won? I watch football to be entertained winning makes a game more enjoyable granted and of course winning is very important but I enjoyed the games against Man U and posh more than this win against a 10 team while we played really poorly.
-
I think we over estaimate how much the fans influences a players desicion over say a good weekly wage, good facilities and a management team with a good rep. Forte clearly came becuase he'd worked with Nige before not becuase he'd heard good things about our fanbase.
-
Not much fun to watch for the paying punters though............................
-
very sad RIP fella

I have to wonder what Bournemouths secret is? they have a team put together on a shoestring, lose their top two goal scorers this season (without replacement) then they lose they're highly rated manager and yet still they're still going strong. Puts our postion to shame really considering the cost of our team and the resources we have.
-
Well were I was sat in the chapel he got polite clapping I thought the cheering was for the Forte coming on. First time I've seen Danny play after listening to the Exeter game on the radio I was expecting good things but he didn't have a great game sadly still it's a bit early to be giving him sh it.
-
Yeah a few times his touch was a little heavy and his runnnig looked laboured give him a couple of games and he'll be back to his best, great pass to put Oxo through on goal.
-
even more so when Dickson wasn't even on the bench..........
-
**** poor game embarrassed by our performance against a poor side who were a man down HTBH. To add injury to insult I missed the goal while taking my five year old to the loo (Doh) Pros we won Lambert scored again (5 in 3 now) Adam is back Cons The new signings looked shocking both of them looked quick but their first touch and general ball control was shocking More yellow cards (chaplow and guly in particular seem to lack discipline when it comes to tackling) I'm upset we didn't rip Carlilse apart in the second half we showed a real lack of killer instinct. The best bit of the whole game was getting to the stadium early to hear the team sheet read out wrongly. My son and I spent a fun ten miniutes trying to workout how Nigel was going to play with both Dickson and Harding on the pitch and only one CD in Jose we settled on 3-5-2 turned out they'd got Dickson and Jiadi mixed up.
