Nigel said he bought Forte in becuase he was quicky and pacy. I haven't seen enough of him play HTBH (just a couple of sub apperances) but it seems strange the manager thinks he is quick and you say he has no pace.

Well I think the management of the club has F ucked up. We should keep the youth team and sell the expensive 1st teamers. Our youth players are great they just need.......................a Dutch coaching duo ...........to teach them play total football and we will be fine.

Carefully side stepping the fact they had the best strike partnership in the league last season which they broke up in the summer. I notice you haven't mentioned Leeds or even Millwall from last season.

Becuase anyone on here who dares to claim we should have won the league and be beating teams like Walsall this season is an arragont c unt with expectations that are to high apparently. So if we're saying that in league 1 for FFS, were we are arguably the biggest team in the league. Why are we going to start having expectations in the PL? We make enough excuses for failure down here it ain't going to get any easy higher up the divisions.

In a much stronger league to boot........ Nigels not doing a bad job, but I don't think he is doing anything too special either, he's hardly got it as rough as some people would have us think. Getting of this league is the easy bit (or should be) next season is when it starts getting hard.

Yes the sooner we get back to the PL, and can enjoy being the big boys ***** again the sooner we saints fans can settle back in to our comfortable "lets hope we avoid relegation again this season" mindset, the better hey.

Blimey! I think you might be wide of the mark by a continent and a couple of countries at the very least.......then again nothing would surprise me with SFC.

Doesn't take into account the difference in squads though, take out CMS and Boyd and Poshs team is well not that great really. How much is the saints team valued at compared to our rivals in this league. Anyone managing saints in this league should be doing well considering what they have at the disposal. Granted a manager can **** up even with a large expensive team, with no cash flow worries, top trainning facilites, top sports science/medical facilites and a great staduim with the highest average home gates of the season. Bearing all that in mind I wouldn't get to excited by him doing well for those same reasons. When you compare it to what Brighton, bompey, posh etc have achieved with far far less.

After 37 games we are 2pts ahead of where we were last season (including the -10) though last season we'd just won a cup final. Funnily enough quite a few people on here who were screaming for APs head last season becuase last season was such a faliure. Are now preaching tolerance, peace and stability becuase Nigel is doing such a great job (despite the fact we have a whole 2 more points and 1 less trophy than last season). Fickle...........

Exactly. In less things have gone really, really wrong I don't think sacking managers during a season helps, I'd rather we do it at the end of the season. On telly before the Man u match when they interviewed Nigel and the interviewer said saints had averaged a new manager every 10 months since WGS left. Hardly a surprise we've dropped so far if it's true.

My daughter is 5 and has a season ticket she likes to come with me a her brother (although I don't take her to every match like my son). To be honest I think she likes the half time snacks more than the football. Also be prepared to keep missing goals when your taking her to the toilet. I've missed three this season already, don't worry you'll now Saints have scored becuase you can still her the cheering in the toilet.................
