  1. It has to be Lallana for me becuase a) Without him we look half the team we do when he is playing b) he is clearly the best player in the league let alone saints Fonte has been great this season though.
  2. Did he say who the other four were?
  3. It's not like the Withdean is some sort of spirtual home for Brighton it was temporary stop gap and a ****ty one at that, I'm not sure being their last match will mean much other than they can't wait to get to the new place. I don't think the Brighton players would throw the game on purpose just that at the back of their minds they know they've done what the need to and Faliraki is nice in May, also why risk an injury now for a nothing game. Hudders players on the other hand know they need to fight for every point and have a long unbeatean run to maintain. I just think hudders will want it more.
  4. OK being so young (ahem) I don't remember the 60s like you old timers:p
  5. I'll take that would make for a great final day.
  6. Yes but could derry cope....
  7. I'm sure I read that no subs were allowed in those days if a player was injuired he carried on on you played a man down.
  8. Surely WBA have been up down more times than a whores head, they're the orginal yo yo team. I'm not sure Stoke was NC vision of the saints style either.............
  9. It's a well known fact managers are only as good as their last match..............
  10. this^^^ the Brighton players are mentally all ready on holiday can see hudders dispatching them with out to much trouble (happy to be wrong though). Brentford are down to the bare bones of a team (thanks to injuries) by all accounts great for us sadly they also have to play hudders. Plymouth are fighting for thier lives and have got that siege mentality us against the world thing going on now and they can still beat the drop so I wouldn't be surprised if we don't get anything from that game. Leaves us having to beat wallsall (who are also fighting for their lives) However I really fancy us against anyone at SMS so can see us winning that one. All in All looks like a down to the wire deal to me,.
  11. No you're not I'd be happy with the championship, however the nature of the beast these days is that the cash from the PL is vital for any club with ambition.
  12. That's putting it mildly he was awful....Like you say tried to hard against his old team and choked a bit. On paper this is probably the easier away game of the two so I wouldn't be surprised to see Harding rested to play against Plymouth.
  13. You weren't at the Cheltenham, Brentford or Manu games at SMS then? three awful displays from Dickson (the manU game was quite a feat as he was only on the pitch 17mins yet still managed to be shocking).
  14. He might have a point with that one....... TBF I think there are people like that sat alround SMS.
  15. On another thread someone pointed out we've come from behind to win 7 times this season under Nigel. Last season we came from behind (in that the oppostion scored first) 8 times in all comps to go onto win, twice more we managed to come from behind to salvage a draw. This team was built by one manager and is now being taken up (80% sure) by another, fair play to both those managers for building the sort of team that has a winning mentality. After Nigels first few games I said we'd be more defensive under Nigel than we were under AP. APs teams were far more attacking IMO which made for good entertaiment with the down side that we could concede sloppy goals (especially late on). The sledgehammer of a team that AP built is being slowly turned in something more subtle by Nigel the final results I await with interest.
  16. ?????????????........who was that aimed at?
  17. I like this one on the plymouth forum Southampton are a nothing club who have been a nothing club for the whole of their nothing of an existence. I have nothing against people that support them other than the fact that they don't know anything about football as evidenced by the fact that the follow such a boring non entity of a small club in Hampshire. They are the descendants of people who broke the strike in a neighbouring port a long time ago richly earning their nick name of scummers. What the hell have we ever done to plymouth? In fairness he was replying to a post started by someone called Delldays........
  18. Shouldn't do. It's a five year plan two in legaue one and two in the championship. While it might be nice to do a Norwich I'll be happy enough (assuming we don't feck the next couple of weeks up) with a season where we finish top half and build for automatic promotion the season after.
  19. TBH when he came I really didn't know much about him to form an opinion. Nigel's done well (assuming we get promoted) but with the cavet that he has one of the largest and most expensive league one teams in history backed up by top class trainning and medical facilites. In other words I'm happy with the progress but to me getting out of this league should be the easy part next season will be when we really get to see what Nigel is about IMO.
  20. I don't mind Stoke, it's worth them being in the Prem just to see how much they upset Wenger every season. At the end of the day the teams that are in the PL are there on merit no matter how wrong that seems......
  21. Niether would I the Brighton players are already planning their summer holidays, having done what they needed to.
  22. Would it be easier to list the ones that don't hate us?
  23. yes he looked really awful against Bolton, Blackpool and Man U when he played..............not
  24. Does that include the one Dickson gave to Man U?
