  1. oh and this ^^^ two less wins and this thread wouldn't exsist.
  2. This I have been very guilty of this Last season I expected a relegation battle and got seventh plus a cup win I was very happy This season (for the first and probably last time) I expected League champions and got second, which leaves me happy twinged with a bit of dissappointment. Next season I'm setting my self up for top half finish (maybe outside playoffs ) so I'm likely to be less dissapointed next season.
  3. Out of interest those that do a lot (all away) games is there a certain age group? I imagine it as the preserve of young unmarried males (and a few females) with a decent amount of disposable income in the main (although I could be very wrong). Just going to home games eats into my family budget and weekend long away trips would go down like a lead ballon with my other half. I'd love to do some away games next season if there localish but I can never imagine a time when I could do all of them in a season ,maybe in 20 years when the kids leave home:(
  4. Must have been a good pre match drink fest if you can't remember
  5. Luck? actually I hope we don't conspire to lose 0-18 to wallsal on saturday cuase then this thread might look a bit silly.
  6. There seem to be two threads going on here What we/NC/NA should be aiming for - champions nothing less and What we can realistically expect - much harder to answer as we don't know if/how much money there is to spend, what players we will let go/keep/buy and what teams will be in the league with us next season. Based on keeping the team we have now top half finish is IMO realistic back to back promotions is not. However that view could change depending on what happens/doesn't happen over the summer and which teams are relegated from the PL.
  7. All most all home games (ST) but missed Posh and hudders and yeovil due to family comitments. Cheltenham and Blackpool in the cups I had a ticket to go to ManU as well but put my back out so my dad went with my ticket instead
  8. if it only it were that simple........
  9. That's what happens when you let Lloyd James and Pual Wotton go.............
  10. Very true. I think most people are expressing what they'd be happy with rather than the club though. You'd would expect all club chairman to aim as high as they can with regards to ambition.
  11. Top half finish = happy playoffs = outstanding auto promotion = un****ingbelivable TBH without knowing our summer transfer activity it's a hard one to answer, but I think the current team are at least a mid-table championship team. Maybe we could just win the carling cup next season and finish just outside the play offs followed by auto promtion the season after.
  12. That's a bit harsh on Lee
  13. Blackpool just to give that tosser Hollowhead more stick when he comes to SMS, other than that not to fussed they're all just stepping stones on the way to back to back promotions.....
  14. The problem though it would seem is that as soon as the success stops (and in unless your Manure it always does) those same "fans" will dissapper again leaving us with a half empty stadium.
  15. Deppo from another thread I'm all for a pitch invasion - while the police, stewards and everyone is distracted I could nip into the changing rooms and try and see Kelvin's penis. good to see you jump both ways deppo..........
  16. I was thinking more about expanding SMS if you're talking about going upto 45-50K we need at least another 20K fans to fill it. I just wonder if the fans are there for that. Undoubtly a small number of matches might attract trhat sort of number but on a regular basis?
  17. OK that seems fair enough, but are there really another 20K of types 3-4 who haven't been turnning up at SMS the last few seasons but will flood back as soon as we make the PL?
  18. Arsenal charge £90 for top games which is frankly way over the top for a game of footie.
  19. Aren't we all? calm down you've made the point, if that's the case surely less are going to turn up in the PL were the tickets are a lot more expensive than in league one were (relatively) they're much cheaper?
  20. which begs the question were have all these fans been the last two seasons........
  21. I'll take a spare Megan fox if anyone has one please? ......................................this is a fantasy wish list thread yeah?
  22. Sarcasm Moi?
  23. Why stop there? Surely the team should recieve the keys to the city. Maybe we could rename city streets after members of the team The Lee Holmes avenue has a nice ring to it..... or Lambert street. Even that might not be enough for coming second.
  24. but there's one game left he could win manager of the month on the 6th and then we would lose 0-10 to walsall while hudders win 10-0 this would be the worst time to recieve the manager of the month curse ...sorry award
  25. I suppose you could look back at how we have held up against upper league oppostion in cup games (I know cup games have a slighty different vibe to league games but still) the last two seasons (with largely the same players). I think we've held up quite well. Ipswich was a finely balanced game which we won Pompey was a thrashing on paper, but anyone who was there would know that for the first half it was all saints. Blackpool you'd have had a hard time telling which one was the PL side (admittly blackpool wasn't the A team) ManU was very much saints playing really good football for 60mins untill fergie sent on his big guns. That gives me hope that we will do fine in the championship.
