Neither were Norwich yet they wanted to sign him, should we ditch the entire saints team as they're all league one players at present? Going back to Norwich who scored the goal to send them up to the PL? thats right Jackson a league one striker last season. CMS would be a great addition to the team I'd rather have a hungry talented player from a lower league than some name looking for his last pay day.

I read in the pink about a month ago that we have had more shots on goal than any other team in the four football leagues as well.

Being giant killers in cup games even if said clubs were Ipswich and Blackpool (WTF??). The cups take on a whole new aspect down in the lower leagues playing in early rounds and all that. Also there's no pressure at all really, when your in the PL losing to a league one side is a bit kack but when your league one as well it's no problem.

They might win the play offs just so you can abuse him some more......

Wasn't Lee Holmes the other one? sadly that might have been the high point of the season for those two players.

As I said on another thread One of the best things about league 1 is it's made us bring in players who for the first time in years appear to appericate playing for saints. Players who have been down in the lower leagues for much of their careers and know being at southampton is a good place to be. Far better than teams of overpriced journeymen and forgeiners that made up our teams for the last few years long may it continue. Also as others have said It's been fun being the billy big ******** of the league. Oh and ticket prices as well.

Nothing We also kept Adam and Oxo. I suppose compared to the season before Fonte, Barney, Seborne and keeping Antonio on loan this season was just more low key.

Hudders away we got tonked after that we changed our style from the constantly playing out at the back to mixing it up. our results in general got better from that day on. I think it was a wake up call for the team.

Most defaintly Nigel has earned the right to show us what he can do in the championship. I'd be happy with a top half finish and very happy with playoffs.

I would say the history has all so shown many times that the bigger budget wins through, it's not the be all and end all but it is a big, big advantage. Look at Brentford the other day several injuries they couldn't even put out a full bench. Saints several injuries but can still put out a team that is far better than most in this league. Nigels done well no denying it but IMO he should have done.

The current one of course should have called it division 3.
