At least the club shop ( apparently the biggest club shop in Europe) will be open even if the stadium isn't ready to host games..... https://talksport.com/football/436709/tottenham-open-largest-club-shop-new-stadium/

Not exactly a new thing is it? The trick is to make sure you don't get caught. Interesting little read. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-17353379

I've got them down as this seasons one hit wonders there is always one side that starts well and just builds on the confidence of a good start. Wouldn't be surprised if they get a European spot this season followed by crashing and burning next.

Manolo Gabbiadini: Joins Sampdoria - Official

Out of interest has Gabbi been a regular starter at any of his clubs? Didn't he come to us because he couldn't hold down a place in his last team? Bar his little purple patch when he first arrived he has been a bang average as the rest of our strike force. -
On the plus side Hughes has identified that our shots to conversion rate is **** poor and is going to get the strikers back to basics in trainning https://stmarysmusings.sbnation.com/2018/10/23/18013050/mark-hughes-southamptons-chance-conversion-rate-is-poor-bournemouth-premier-league-draw-eddie-howe Hopefully it will help and we will see a goalfest at SMS.

Basically because he wanted to leave the price was determined by the fact Tadic had his heart set on returning to the Netherlands, and no where else, so there was no chance of getting the same sort of money we would have demanded from a PL club the Dutch just don't have the cash. On a side note I always liked Tadic but my recollection is he got absolute pelters on here most of the time for being a lazy, under performing play actor, until he left when suddenly everyone claims to have loved him.
-
I'll admit to not being a big fan of his the last couple of seasons. He has stepped up this season though so fair play to the lad. 4-4-2 does seem to suit him.
-
Strangely I always thought he would suit 4-4-2 playing as the little man in the classic old school big man little man combo. You could see him doing ok in a set up where he is just feeding off flick ons and knock downs in and around the box. Sadly we haven't had a big man CF for a long time now.

Not really bothered if he goes there is hardly a player in the whole squad these days I'd be sorry to see the back of. -
Its two different arguments. CB is arguing whether it was hard to attract Poch to Southampton at the time we did and you are arguing over whether he did a good job at Espanyol
-
Hughes said in his post match interview on Solent that he had spent the international break working with the defenders who had not gone away and the reason that Hoedt and Stephens got the nod is they had responded well on the training ground to the coaching. Lets hope its the start of a more solid defence.
-
When he left Espanyol they had 9 pts from 13 games there may have been a good reason for it but he still ended up jobless. So CBs point that it wasn't exactly difficult to offer an out of work manager, with a pretty small CV, a shot at the PL pretty much holds true.
-
Instead of focusing on it being Bournemouth look it another way. It is an away point to a team in the top six, who scored 4 goals in their last game, and are full of confidence while we have been very poor most of the season.
-
Interesting listening to Hughes on why he picked Hoedt and Stephens. to para phrase he has been working with them on defending in trainning right through the international break and they had responded well to it so he picked them over other CBs who had been away...guess he was proved right as we kept a clean sheet.
-
but at least we kept a clean sheet something we have failed to do regularly for sometime.
-
That's what we need to be now. Given the low quaility of the squad we need to be a hard working, well drilled team to survive in the PL.
-
Given how **** we are and how good Bournemouth have been ill take that.
-
Solent describing Shane Long's first contribution "Longs first touch is heavy" .... massive surprise
-
Ok wasn't expecting those subs
-
The new Southampton way. 4-4-2 long ball all part of the steady decline before we final beg big Sam to come and rescue us from relegation.

Listening to the Solent build up it appears the student has now become the master...
