Doesn't surprise me at all. Said at the time, as did a lot of others, the takeover was a bad thing and so it has proved to be. The only person who got anything out of it was Kat. We now have a distant, seemingly uninterested owner, without a pot to **** in, whose plan for the club is still totally unknown to the fans ( and possibly the board as well) leaving the club to bumble on with no clear direction or purpose. You can sack Les and Ralph, sack Hughes and replace the whole playing squad it wont help much I the guy at the top has no leadership, plan or investment for the club.

****ing hell I actually agree with you Alpine the takeover killed us. We stood still while it took forever to get it over the line and now we have an owner who just wants to maintain the status quo and has no ambition.

Three different managers in three seasons no noticeable improvement in the team...tells you a lot about our players If we sack Hughes and get another manager our transformation into Sunderland/Villa/ Swansea will be complete as we become one of those teams clinging to PL survival with a bloated squad of ****e players hoping for a "new manager bounce" every season to scrap enough points to stay up by the skin of our teeth. In the end though changing the manager won't make much difference the club needs an overhaul from the owner down to the squad which won't realistically happen...so we are ****ed

Surely if we want a Poch clone it will be someone unknown not proven? Any "Proven" manager capable of taking the current squad of clowns to the next level ( if such a manager even exists) probably wouldn't be interested in managing us in the first place.

I'd decline the job total poison chalice at the moment you get about 45 minutes of your first game before the players start complaining to Ralph about you and the fans turn on you...

Generally agree with the post but a bit Harsh on Redmond I feel. He wasn't close to Mane but he got 8 goals (7 in the league) that season which is not bad for a player who wasn't the main striker.

Yes we where told by the ITKs the players where unhappy with Puel...fair enough. The club gave into them gave them a "nice guy" manager and they responded by being even more ****e than the season before. We got rid of the "nice guy" got in a manager with a "no nonsense" attitude and the players responded by being errr….****e...….at some point you have to start questioning the commitment of the players.

Despite the fact we've been playing 4-4-2 for most of the season and have been quite attacking certainly more so than under MoPe.

Not really sure how their reserves vs our reserves in the Carbo cup last season has much bearing on a league game this season.

I wouldn't say we can't buy a goal we've done alright in front of goal this season if we had a defence that could keep a clean sheet we would be doing alright. The issue is with our defence being so poor we are going to need to score 3+ goals a game to get a result.

Now we are talking a bit of Maiden before the game will get me pumped. I suggest Children of the Dammed (as a nod to all the poor kids duped into following saints by their parents) or Die With Your Boots On (to maybe drop a hint to the players about how they should approach the match)

Rather they got shot of Blackmore and his mistake ridden, going off on a tangent and talking about his half time snack commentary. If we are talking about Solent commentators we shouldn't forget Guy Whittingham who always sounds like he hasn't quite forgiven Pompey for his treatment when he was their manager.

We have had three different managers with this set of players (give or take the odd few) with no real effect or change I don't know who this manager is that is A) good enough to make this shower of ****e squad play well and B) If he is good enough to make our current crop contenders why he would want to come to saints. The truth is our current predicament isn't down to just one factor but a combination of factors from the owner down. Changing just one of these factors (like the manager) will be unlikely to make a difference on its own. We need a shake up right through the club (which I can't see us getting anytime soon sadly)

Seems unlikely when Hughes didn't even bat an eyelid at Hoj getting sent off against Leicester

Does it matter the squad isn't that good the quality of a few years ago is all gone (most of them to this afternoons opponents) the squad we have is a lower mid table side of Meh. Three managers in three seasons same old problems.

Best thing I can do now is to switch of Solent and go and do something else that might spur on a famous 3-4 comeback that I will completely miss..

I guess at least we aren't 2-0 down to Burnley...
