The whole time there is between players arriving back from internationals and the game on the Friday needs to be spent on defensive midfield and fullback defensive drills and duties - No excuses for not completely being focused on the current defensive shambles.

This is squarely on Martin’s shoulders. Bizarre team selection with unfit and out of practice players picked when they are not ready I play. Bizarre to pick AA up front, everyone knows he is shite there except Martin it seems. As for ‘tactics’ Martin must see the same reason we concede on the counter every game but literally does does sod all to change the blindingly obvious that, if we have 8 men in front of the ball when we lose possession we lose a goal on their counter Isn’t that what managers are paid millions to sort out? This guy is a great talker and loves his little favs in the ‘group’ However the tactical nouse is sadly and obviously lacking.

How on earth anyone could put AA up front in a suggested team after the amount of games he’s played there and been really very poor is a complete mystery. Midfield fine but up top - NO.

You don’t have to be Pep Guardiola to see that we lose possession and we have absolutely nothing in midfield at all to stop the break on our goal. Is Martin even watching our games…

So, we lose possession and they are up to our penalty area in three passes. Yet again the midfield is absent and Martin hasn’t addressed this. This team are not close to promotion candidates…

We simply must change the strategy slightly and have an extra body in the defensive middle of the pitch. We are far too wide open ….

We have actually had no central midfield for around 3 or 4 years. It’s coaching and managerial organisation that is causing this not really the players lacking anything individually.

I don’t understand this that I cannot listen online without paying. Working away a lot I can’t access the commentary at all without paying. Which ever league hierarchy decided this in a media deal is nuts because people will just not bother. I am not paying to listen….. Local radio commentary has been a bedrock for maintaining and promoting fans interest over decades - shame…

Totally…. It’s tactical organisation that needs addressing, not JUST personnel. Matting needs to look in the mirror too….

For three years we have been over run in midfield because our coach’s can’t organise a central midfield at all, it’s non existent in fact just clear grass….

It’s more tactical strategy than midfield personnel. We have no one in the middle of the pitch and it is so easy to spot but we insist on repeating the mess of tactical set up.

It was pretty obvious in pre season that any team who aggressively close us down would probably wreck our only tactic and beat us convincingly. Yes it was a scratch 11 but it is obvious how to play against us.. Close us down and go for set pieces and crosses. Perhaps we should concentrate training on defence before we prioritise anything else…….. It is not all McCarthy it is our totally inept defending that is awful …

Why do people constantly need to preach to everyone else what is in their view morally acceptable? Why do they need to publicly snort out loud how morally superior they are to others, it’s boring and insecure. The way they always need to differentiate between black and white skin is nauseating.
