  1. That's what I thought. It wad sometime around Xmas and the QPR, Swansea, Plymouth games when the penny dropped and I decided that we were good for the top 2. At that time the bookies had Ipswich and Leeds shorter than us (and obviusly Leicester) sl I had to have a dabble.
  2. Top 2. Pay 1/3 the odds
  3. 10 /1 on Bet 365. Ipswich are 8/1. I put money on a couple of weeks ago. Each way at 12/1. I dont put much on but if it pays off it will help to buy next season's PL season ticket. 😁😁
  4. How about if the existing population don't fancy the jobs?
  5. Wherever you live. You then might realise that immigrants are not all the monsters that you seem to think.
  6. There is a simple explanation. Therese Coffey is one of Liz Truss's best friends.
  7. Pompey supporters.
  8. Who has hijacked Alex's login? He is talking a lot of sense. 😁😁😁
  9. It is not just poltical parties who are addicted to immigration. It is the whole economy !! The sooner MPs grow up, explain this to the country and start to explain why limited immigration is needed in the Uk the better. My mother in law is in a nursing home. The vast majority of staff who work there are not from the UK. The simple fact is that the pay and the conditions of work are not attractive to British people. The fees (£7, 000 a month) that minlaw pays are already astronomical. If the home was to pay higher wages and "invest in training our own citizens properly" the fees would rise even further. Certainty minlaw would find it difficult to pay them as would I daresay many of the other residents.
  10. Pompey fans don't leave their seats for a piss. They just piss in their seats. Mind you I wouldn't blame them if the toilets for home fans are like those I experienced in the away end a few years ago.
  11. During this transfer window I have seen several comments about FFP restricting our options. Can anybody explain why and how close to the wire we are flying.
  12. Bring them on. We have dropped away points against teams like Norwich who just sat back, denied us space and waited for us to attack. I think the top teams will be less inclined to play like that and will attack more - a style of play that will suit us better.
  13. Both these teams look utter shitr compared to us.
  14. What a load of bollocks. Private Eye has been running stories about the scandal for years. Years when Conservative ministers were in charge of the Post Office. Why didn't one of them follow up on the work done by Private Eye? Were they too thick or don't you Gammons want to think about Tory culprits?
  15. Exactly. The Post Office Investigation Department has enormous powers and can prosecute and judge offenders who steal mail as well as those who steal from Post Offices. Whether it should still have these powers after this fiasco should be one of the main questions resolved.
  16. I blame ITV. If those useless tossers had got their act together and shown their drama earlier, say in 2012, instead of 2024 the subpostmasters would have already received justice.
  17. If only we lived in a country where the Government controlled events rather than react to them. Rushi's attitude is amazing. I wonder what other events could come under Government scrutiny if a TV drama was made about them.

I left it on purpose for him. You are spoiling his fun. 😁😏😏
  19. Doubt it. They often do them with matches still to play.

  21. At what weird hour and on which strange channel will the draw take place?
  22. The choke is on. 😁😁😁😁
  23. I have not yet seen the programme. What happened to these sub postmasters was an absolute disgrace. It was a huge miscarriage of justice and the actions of senior Post Office managers cannot be condoned. I can understand however how this happened. I was a manager in Post Office Counters in the mid / late 1980s. Amongst other things I was responsible for the financial probity of over 250 sub postmasters. I had an internal audit team whose full time job was to audit sub post offices (and Crown offices). It is not incorrect to say that some sub postmasters (definitely a very small minority - but nevertheless some) were perceived to be *on the fiddle*. There was an instance just before I took up post when a sub postmaster stole over £300k before he fled to Pakistan never to be seen again. The culture of the Post Office was to distrust all sub postmasters. It is this culture that led to this miscarriage. At the end of the day Post Office looks after public money which needs to be controlled. Unfortunately this need for control went very wrong in these instances. I left the Post Office in 1988 and knew nothing about the Horizon system. If I had stayed however I do wonder if I would have been caught up in this appalling affair.
  24. J Rednapp talks clearly and can string a sentence together. Different from mumbling Wayne.
