  1. It's decided by a panel. Duckie chairs it and it comprises a few other old dinosaurs. They judge whether a team is full of sons in law and girlies or whether they are "dead 'ard"
  2. It must be difficult enough atm attracting a new manager considering our league position. If we keep Jones for Saturday and then fail to get a result against fellow relegation strugglers Wolves , it is going to be even more difficult.
  3. Talk about sitting on the fence!!
  4. Exactly. Last photo of the Queen was with Truss .... And who stood up at the 1994 Libdem conference wanting to abolish the monarchy? 🤔🤔 Highly suspicious.😉😉
  5. If they think that he has been gone too long, do you think that Bananarama will take Nathan Jones back?
  6. Friday Night Dinner cannot be easily surpassed. "Shit on it" !!!
  7. If you believe the loony element of the Conservative party, the Daily Mail, Daily Express, Telegraph etc all of this can be solved by a few tax cuts.
  8. I agree. Making him Chancellor, in charge of HMRC amongst other things, when he was in dispute with HMRC about his taxes smacks of either sheer incompetence or plain corruption.
  9. At least Tory MPs rejected Zahawi as a potential leader last summer when he stood for the leadership and only 25 MPs voted for him. Perhaps they knew he was a tax crook. The mind boggles however at the thought of a tax cheat and liar thinking he can be Conservative leader and Prime Minister. That could never happen could it?
  10. Nadine and Boris together on the same show!! It will be Guided Missile's dream team. He will have it on catch up so that he can crack one out whilst watching again and again and again.....
  11. Failing Grayling even makes Guided Missile look semi sane.
  12. Have you seen the size of public school fees?? You don't expect the likes of Wilfred to go to a state school do you???
  13. Over to you Guided Missile, Duckie and others for a response. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2023/jan/22/three-years-after-brexit-where-is-the-new-golden-age-that-they-promised-us?CMP=Share_AndroidApp_Other
  14. I don't disagree with a lot of this but I would like to point out that the 4 years between 2005 and 2009 were some of the worst times that I had following Saints. Have you forgotten the Redkrapp, Burley, Portvleit, Wotte years?? It wasn't all like Adkins made it.
  15. Many teams at this stage of the season have little to play for. They are out of the cups and not in Europe. Barring a freak change of form, they are not going to be challenging for the title and nor are they going to be in a relegation battle. Saints have often been in this position. I would suggest this is what fans of clubs like Villa and Palace have to look forward to. We on the other hand are in the midst of a memorable season - very possibly memorable for all the wrong reasons. A relegation battle beckons from now to the end of May. This may end well or it may not. On the other hand we are in a Caraboa cup semi final which could see a day out at Wembley and possibly even silverware. We also have a winnable game in the FA cup which would lead to a place in the last 16 and the way that the draw is cutting up this could be a year when a "smaller club" wins at Wembley. What would you prefer for the rest of the season? A few months like Palace and Villa fans will enjoy or a few months like we are going to have??
  16. Let's see. I cannot see the Tories winning at the next election if they come up with tax cuts but fail to solve the current NHS issues.
  17. What a lovely individual. No wonder that GM quotes him. https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2022/02/09/who-is-peter-thiel/#ZFPVQRSZVJAETHLAQTUMUB7PS4-1 He (Thiel - not GM) in recent years married his husband. Not a problem for me but I wonder how well that goes down with his Trump supporting buddies.
  18. Pathetic. Do you have to have shit for brains to spout this sort of rubbish??
  19. The good news is that, according to the Daily Telegraph there is still scope for tax cuts before the next election. Falling energy prices gives a little headroom for tax cuts. Who needs ambulances turning up when required if there is a chance of a tax cut?? According to the Guardian, Jeremy Hunt is resisting tax cuts in the spring Budget. He is saving those for the Budget nearer the election. Why pay staff more and fill some of the 130,000 NHS vacancies when you can spend that money on reduce the rate of Corporation Tax?? No wonder the Government can't resolve the NHS pay issues. If they did, there would be less money for tax cuts. Does the public want better public services or a penny off the income tax ?? I suppose the next General Election will decide that.
  20. A better name than Misselbrook - an arrogant, bullying person.
  21. Just in case anyone has forgotten how this man had no moral compass and under him this country was becoming a banana republic: https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2023/jan/15/nadhim-zahawi-to-pay-millions-in-tax-after-dispute-over-family-finances Who do you make Chancellor of the Exchequer? How about a man in dispute with the Treasury over a several million pounds tax bill?
  22. Typical Duckie. You can tell it's Saturday night. 😁 (Mind you, I agree with a lot of what he is saying).
  23. Sorry to hear that. I suppose it's what happens when a populist cult grabs the reins of government.
  24. The Radio 5'Live commentator was not so good. Amidst lots of patronising comments about Saints just before kick off he informed the world that all the City fans were occupying the Chapel end.
  25. Me too. I let him off too lightly when he joined, gave him the benefit of the doubt and he abused that trust by playing crap against Lincoln and Brighton. After Fulham and most definitely after Forest I had had enough of him. I wanted him out of the club. This time last week I was pressing F5 all the time in the hope that he had been sacked. Clearly the loss of my support made him reconsider, he pulled his finger out and last night we outplayed the champions. It is clear that my criticism of him was responsible for the upturn in form. You can thank me later.
