Duncan, I think it's time to move on from that one to be honest. It must be embarrassing enough for MLT. We have the right buyer, we have the right manager, we have no debt, we have the infrastructure and all we now need is to rid ourselves of Rupert Lowe's losing/relegation side and rebuild Alan Pardew's own team. A couple of weeks wouldnt have made the slightest difference if you want my opinion - especially when you have to ship out alot of very poor young players and replace the majority of the team. That will take some time. None of this should be a surprise to be honest. Our team was shocking last season and has been further eroded with thus far only a couple of fresh signings. Bring on the new blood... We were never going up this season - only ever fighting a relegation battle until reinforcements arrived. 2 weeks frankly will make NO difference at all - we will challenge for promotion NEXT season, not this one.

Rubbish John. Pardew is a class manager, and we're lucky to have him. I am sorry but until the players that Lowe built are removed we're going no where.

It is not HIS team it is a team of legacy players primed by Dutch defeatism and Lowe's ineptitude. WHEN he has 11 players who respond to him and either adopt his winning atitude or are sacked and replaced, then judge him. Best manager in this league IMHO, by a country mile. We just need him to be allowed to build HIS team... and SELL on or give away the crap he inherited.

All the team selection over the last 2 games proves is that Lowe's kids are not good enough. When AP gets HIS team to reinforce some of the men like KD, Lambert, Hammond and gets a defence we're in business!

I dunno why they were surprised. I watched Swindon a few times and Saints alot last season... they were always destined to get a result in my eyes.

Hammond will be here shortly and I suspect 2-3 more players by the end of the transfer window. Thereafter AP needs some loan players and to buy 3 more players in December.

Players we need to ship out from this team urgently. They should never wear red and white again: Wotton, Patterson, Lancashire, James. Players with potential to recover their positions: Thomas, Spiderman Players in current squad who should be fighting for a bench place only: Spiderman, Lallana, Gillett. We need experience... and AP is starting to get it in.

I knew it. Watched Swindon twice last season and us alot. Knew we'd struggle to get a draw and they'd be more likely to win. As I have said, too many times since December, Lowe's legacy players are not good enough for this league. We must have a big clear out - including the younger players - and buy in 5-6 seasoned professionals as quickly as possible. We need to remove the loser mentality that has prevailed at this club since Lowe returned. Until his players are finally booted out and Pardew has his team we're destined for a relegation scrap. Minus 9 points and at this rate we're going to take 19 more games to reach zero points. Get buying Alan! Marcus... we need your money earlier than you thought you'd need to spend it.

I did. I have said all along this team is not good enough for League 1 and is heading for League 2... but AP and Marcus are making it gradually better to be fair. We'll survive - but we need 5-6 more players and the removal of Lowe's legacy players who clearly lack skill, experience and a winning mentality..... just like their old master.

Fair one Duncan. But, as I was intimating, you can't fault MLTs motives. I am sure in time he'll admit he was duped.

He's a better player than arguably 8 or 9 of our starting line-up. I am not so worried about this!
