  1. Oh I think the Itchen North lesson has been learnt. It will be open.
  2. No more plc. No more boardroom squabbles. One owner pulling the club in one direction with MLT well and truly front and centre and up for the best for the club. Personally, I love the idea of not having debt and seeing Lowe's plc die has been, well... sweet. As you say .. onwards and upwards... but with the right experienced manager!
  3. Yep, that is probably the reason.
  4. Must be. New manager will be the result, sooner rather than later please as we have some players to buy. Cant keep the current eejit.
  5. Swiss money? Must be a big cheese.
  6. Probably right. But to be honest the decision to take him back should not be in the hands of our owners anyway.... but with our new EXPERIENCED MANAGER.
  7. Here! Here!
  8. I agree with you. But, thats why I am suggesting it on here and for LC and the remainder of the TB Statue Committee to consider taking on such a proposal. I and they are neutrals. I would not expect MLT to ask for it, he wouldnt. But I think we as fans would love it, and if it served a motivational purpose too for our players...underpinning a new club ethos of loyalty to the shirt... hey why not? Lets ask him and do it! He has saved this club, regardless of the many future successes (which I am sure there will be) or not of the new owner(s).
  9. We can afford him now. But will he play for us?
  10. One owner. One legend. One hundred million (+). No Lowe. Smell the sweetness of success and Saints ultimate recovery.
  11. I have proposed that we should consider having a bronze statue done of MLT. It should be placed by the Players Entrance at the front of SMS - a bust would do for now, to be upgraded to full statue on our return to the Premiership! - and it should have 'LOYALTY' engraved on the plinth so that each player when he arrives at SMS sees it and has it drilled into him that there are greater accolades to be had than just chasing cash in football. When this deal goes through and Saints are officially saved... maybe Leon Crouch and the Ted Bates Statue Committee may consider leading the work for such an honour to him, a la the second TB statue.
  12. Woggy is a good enough start.... Feel good factor returns!
  13. Unfortunately I am moving to sunnier climes for a couple of years so will have to revert to being a non-ST holder for a while... But had I been staying in the UK, I would be buying STs for my entire family (unlike last year when I cancelled my holdings due to Lowe's appointment and policies that inevitably led to Lowe Relegation Season 2).
  14. Yeah, my point is that one radio station will take it on. There's simply too many Saints fans and too good an opportunity to charge for the advertising surrounding the games not to do so.
  15. 'I gained 3 million' R Lowe, Job Lost
  16. Solent?
  17. It is what we now have whatever the 'positive result'. We have no choice but to back it. Still, I know one thing for sure 19, Lowe is nowhere near it!
  18. Nah... totally predictable 'no news is bad news' story telling, always happens and best dismissed. May have been some confusing bids injected but frankly watching MLTs body language on SSN over the last 3 weeks should have been enough for anyone to realise this was likely to happen. Now.... do they come with £150 million as was initially rumoured several weeks ago?
  19. Do we know if Pinnacle have had their funds increased even more by absorbing one of the other consortiums as had been suggested before on this messageboard?
  20. I didnt have any cost implications in mind to be honest. I'd have thought the match day programmes would do it for free. Afterall, they do for birthdays. A click on the internet to a forum like this is as easy as a click onto the OS, and it allows people to add a respectful comment. OS must only be for really positive and upbeat stories IMHO.
  21. Surman would be a good League 1 player for us. If we're serious about getting out of this league quick and up to the CCC we need to keep Surman. To be fair to Surman he was only as good as his manager was this season. Decent manager would have the Surmans and BWPs firing in League 1. I hope we keep him. We need to build a team round our best. Sadly Surman is now one of our best.
  22. Spend the money on a manager and players - men needed to get out of this league. Radio stations are for cash cow Premiership clubs.
  23. An opportunist rather than serious contender Weston methinks.
  24. Marc Jackson was and is a self publicity merchant. Fair play to Fry for seeing this and forcing his hand with the £500K Exclusivity payment.
  25. Which is why it should start by supporting the new owners and exploiting the feel good factor of the rebuild of The Saints.
