  1. Thanks Weston - useful summary. I have been away in sunnier climes this week so a little out of the detail. Bottom line is that Fry seems to still be keeping the dealing close to his chest regardless of the odd slip of info. I have a feeling that we may all be surprised with the final owners - fact is noone posting here really seems to know exactly whats happening... which is arguably a good sign.
  2. It is something of a longshot.
  3. I am inclined to think his bid is for self publicity, hence Fry's call for the payment of a non refundable £500K to continue exclusively with those who are serious. But, if he is all we have we must take it, if anything it buys us time for MJ to find another owner and sell next season.
  4. We will not go into liquidation. Keep the faith and read the signs.
  5. £500K to take the club sounds bloody good piece of work by Fry to move things on. May just be the pressure to expose this consortium as a publicity seeking effort for Marc Jackson? Fry's idea to force a consortium to cough up £500K should leave the final serious bidder exposed this week. Intuitively I don't think it's going to be Marc Jackson's bid, if you think about it its alreay a week or so behind the others entering 'Due Dilligence'.
  6. For me its the time from which we start having further points deducted by the FA, hence my question above. But, end of May in terms of rebuilding with a new manager.
  7. Experience, Knowledge, credibility and consistency. That is the secret. I guess credibility comes from experience, knowledge and consistency, but essentially that is the key. Wotte has none of the above. Someone like Ince a little more of the above (plus hunger, and is thus a more realistic target for a League 1 club) and someone like Allardyce and Roy Hodgson all of the above, making them Premiership quality. We must get the best, most experienced and knowledgeable, manager we can as a League 1 team in the next month or so. We must put him on a long term contract and support him for 6 years. To be honest - we have learnt every lesson through Lowe on how not to do it. We must insist on a credible EXPERIENCED manager from our new owners asp.... Managerial appointments are statements of intent by owners and the boardroom. Watch their appointment - if they get it wrong I sense a very short honeymoon period for our new owners.
  8. Nope. I think despite being one of the better informed, rather than ITK, that statement is not likely to come off... a result of frustration at a day or twos development (or lack of) would be my guess. We will survive and be playing League 1 football with a new manager next season. Saints will survive, simply there are 2 (plus) offers in and Fry is spinning it out for the best deal he can get.
  9. I think there may be some truth in that statement. MLT looked pretty cool yesterday on SSN.
  10. I am sure we'll get a takeover soon. But, I am concerned though that if we do not see any action by the end of this month we may not have an opportunity to rebuild this summer with our new manager. What is also - more concerning - is the fact that we may lose more points if a takeover does not occur shortly. Does anyone know when the FA may start further deductions?
  11. The man is a fraud and responsible for the relegation of the team to League 1. He is history. I will never support this man. I wish he'd do the honorable thing and resign and leave us instead of playing this out for his redundancy payment.
  12. Agreed. I dont think MLT would have allowed his name to be associated with this bid if he didnt think it had legs.
  13. Next week starts in less than 11 hours...
  14. Like him or not the only other really influential ex Saint who has been pretty supportive in encouraging Saints to be bought out has been Harry Redknapp... his comments were 'triffic'.
  15. Yellows! Love it.
  16. LOL... sorry. Just enjoy a little sport at times 19 is entitled to his opinions, I enjoy fencing with him.
  17. LOL... I am looking forward to celebrating the new owners and hopefully saluting the new manager at that game. Methinks it has potential to be relaunched as the start of the rebuild. If so .... frankly I'm looking forward to it and will go! Not sure if Andover have a game on that day tho 19?
  18. The only thing he really did right. Would anyone else not have done the 3 suggested if they'd been in Lowe's position? We really need a thread that says the 100+ things Lowe did WRONG.
  19. Enjoy your new team 19, perhaps you could ask Rupert to buy it as well... mind you I doubt he'd put any of his own money in though given a 100% track record of failing to do so thus far in his football chairmanship roles. Love making you as angry as the many many other readers of this messageboard who read your daft comments and bite their lips rather than reply. ... love it when you bite mate... keep responding ... it makes me smile.
  20. To gauge his appearance and emotions... he's pretty happy today by the looks of things.
  21. In sum, There will be a takeover next week. Enjoy.
  22. We will be united now. One leader, one vision, a new manager, new players and the same old fans. Bring it on.
