  1. So let me get this right... we provided the catering? Good. Very pleased for the Chefs. Nice one! Nice to have someone in Southampton who's lost more money than all of our shareholders combined in a matter of half a second.
  2. Jay, that's exactly what I would have expected too. The fact he ISNT and has sided so convincingly against Lowe and for MC/Crouch is thus interesting. He's no fool, he - like all of us - can make his own mind up, but his is based on more info than we get. I think we should all question his tactics but consider his motives and solution, which seems to me to be far better than allowing Lowe to continue to take and drive the club down.
  3. Thats absolutely correct. And in order to do that it will reflect public opinion: Lowe out.
  4. I wonder about that. The tone of his posts seems to reflect frustration as much as calculation to me.
  5. Totally agree. Although, I think all Duncan is suggesting is an interim move towards that. A clean sweep IS needed but has to be done in stages to maintain just a little consistency on day to day running matters. Lowe & Wilde have to go thats a given by almost everyone. Assuming we start there, there will be need for a chairman and probably a CEO inthe meantime. Crouch is the usual suspect mentioned, and although I'd hate him to do it inpetuity, provided he came in with an agenda to bring in a CEO and then search for a buyer (a la SISU) I would back his temporary appointment. I think thats what Duncan wants too from what I can make out. A clean sweep is needed, but if a single buyer and his team cant be found (nobody's looking by the way) then a staged removal of the culprits of this demise is totally logical. Either way it has to start with Lowe - the catalyst of disaster and division.
  6. The internet serves a different purpose to the quality media. It is certainly a medium for sensationaism. But in general I think people still make up their own minds in a similar fashion.
  7. Great story!
  8. Didnt know that. Which manager's wife MIGHT it have been alehouse?
  9. Junction come on. There have been lots of these sorts of reports about Lowe over the years. We shouldnt be surprised at this accusation from MC. Trouble is unless he does it to you or I we cant safe for definite can we? Its a reoccuring theme when Lowe's under pressure or challenged. Next thing we know he'll be saying that the Doncaster train picture is more important than Lawrie Mac and the FA Cup.... oops.
  10. Not much there apart from making an issue about the supporters again. The majority are still not happy Wotte not the minority. Apart from that seems a pretty dull interview.
  11. LOL! Actually I find with some tomato sauce **************** is ok. Prefer chips with it though.
  12. LOL! You totally misread me. The 'evidence' refers to Lowe in general in his responses to various incidents over the years. The anecdotal evidence is from MC about this incident. As I said I don't know either way but given the reactions by Lowe in the past to various incidents it would seem to be something well within his capability - whether he has or not I don't care. Please note the question mark by the way. Also as I have said - all this really shows is that the senior shareholders can never work with each other. Thats important. It means we need to remove one half and go with another or totally replace the lot. Latter prefered, former will do as a temporary measure. Also, someone on this board told me Wiltshire Saint is a nice, polite bloke.
  13. Sounds like ANOTHER takeover opportunity lost - do elaborate Weston.
  14. Yeah - good that. I like the bit about The Echo having the moral highground under the current circumstances over Lowe! I think they do too, and whats more I think the pressure will be ramped up by the Echo on Lowe as they know the fan base has had enough.
  15. I dunno Wes - I think it is important that such statements are debated. It highlights Lowe's personality and therefore where weaknesses may or may not be, and makes the point that (although we know the boardroom is split) it is split for reasons that may help us to understand why it may never be able to operate together. Regardless, it shows us we need the whole lot of them out and a new owner. I am all for transitioning though to it with a temporary appointment of MC/Crouch it means we immediately remove Lowe though, from acorns and all that. Lose Lowe and we never have to read this sort of thread again! THAT in itself has merit!
  16. Correct. Including me. The reason was that it was believed to be one of many deals on the table and the prospect of a hedge fund made people shudder. But, the boardmembers knew exactly how many offers were on the table - ONE. We didnt at that time. If we'd have known the choice was Lowe/Dutch/Kids versus SISU I think the vast majority would have taken the SISU option and Chris Coleman.
  17. Ah but I was refering to the fact that Crouch would be running the plc briefly (well a CEO would be) before finding a buyer and then delisting. If that makes sense! Either way I'd be ecstatic!
  18. Must still be about... although I suspect he hasnt been upsetting the players at training lately. Wonder how much he takes from the club. Will it appear in the accounts?
  19. 50-100 me.
  20. Individual interests versus Club interests then FC. I suspect you're right.
  21. This was last November. As I recall Crouch was making his offers in December/January. I think this could just as easily be the opt out of administration that leads Askham and Lowe to further increase their strangle hold on the Club let alone see a change through Crouch... Wilde's lost interest.
  22. Not quite FC. We had a takeover deal on the table from SISU. One which now sees Coventry in a position of strength with a strong manager and not ourselves. That was a pretty significant piece of investment that the shareholders ALL refused to accept....madness in retrospect. And as Stevegrant have often said... no one has provided a satisfactory repost as to why it was turned down.
  23. I think all of those points are a fair warning to Duncan. But, as I say we have more chance of investment and moving in the right direction again once Lowe has been ousted for good. MC and Crouch have one quality over Lowe in this debate (and Lawrie Mac for that matter) they are fans - who DO want the best for the Club before themselves. They are born into and a product of football; Mary inherited it, Crouch is like us a passionate fan and Lawrie's most successful period of his life was due to this Club. Lowe has always taken from it. I can see why Duncan - who's life is Saints - would naturally ally with them. He wants the best and has realised that Lowe does not provide the best solution. So he's frustratedly trying to tell us why. Investment will come if Lowe is successful you are right. But is he going to be? Has he been? Has he not just failed again? Is League 1 not very very close if not certain? And even if we survive - by playing men at last - has Lowe's experiment and leadership not failed again? He is damned if he does and damned if he doesnt. All due to being a failure as chairman. But we can't have someone like Lowe leading a club that needs unity from top to bottom. I'm bored of Lowe leading us down and being patient. On the previous messageboard I argued strongly for Lowe until the end of the first season in the CCC when it became obvious to me that he wasnt just jinxed or unlucky, but genuinely appalling. His outward persona fooled me... I looked again... I realised there was more to him than he allowed people to say about him and it was flawed and full of weakness. No time for him at this Club any longer - every time for someone new.
