  1. LOL! Well done Block... this is exactly what I wanted to highlight. If we fail to show imagination, fail to hunt for a buyer or set our sites low and fail to show ambition, we'll always be a nothing Club under a consolidated extra shareholding Mr Lowe. It's time to seek a buyer again. We havent actively looked for one since SISU. Why? Is it because our shareholders are looking to consolidate their holding through administration? Why should we be prepared to roll over and die any longer? Let's find a buyer and move on up.
  2. According to reports when he signed for Milan he was looking to buy a British team in due course. But even if not, should we not 'tempt' him?
  3. Interesting. One of the world's richest sportsmen and one of the most talented wingers we have had in the England side for many years. I assume he'll want to be closish to London, in the South for Posh and the kids. Perhaps he'll even be looking for a place to park a small yacht? Question is. Has anyone decided to approach him about buying Saints? If not, should we not make an initial approach to him? I think we should. Beckham will doubtless employ a well known CEO. He'll attract capital investment. He'll buy a club that is brandable in the States. He is a successful individual - unlike our current shareholders - and as such attracts winners. We have the infrastructure, family atmosphere (when Lowe is removed anyway) and location. Beckham as owner. Better than Lowe and Askham? What do we think?
  4. How do you work that out when Wotte has been part of the problem from the start of the season? As chief engineer of total youth policy I think he has ALOT to be held accountable for. As coach he has been an improvement over JP. Why? Because whilst he was forcing, from Lowe, a club policy of youth on JP (that we all knew was destined for disaster and has probably done enough to kill the club and relegate it regardless) Wotte now plays men under a revised policy. If JP could have played men would we be in the relegation zone right now? I think not. Wotte has to be held accountable for the whole season I'm afraid. If he keeps us up I may reassess his performance. But he has caused too much damage already to be kept at this club whatever happens this summer. He is Lowe's architect. He shares the blame. AND there are - frankly - far better British managers out there unemployed. Makes those with the anti-Wotte banners quite forward thinking and understanding the whole situation... IMHO.
  5. I'd love that - just to play them again! But I think the likelihood is Saints relegate and Pompey survive I'm afraid.
  6. I think you do. I sack failures because failure is generally habitual, and its habitual due to lack of talent or ability. In sport there is no difference, in fact it should be more ruthless.
  7. We need some consistency. I think we can beat QPR on Saturday but Wotte needs a consistent selection - men.
  8. I'm not sure he is. When you assess that he was effectively JPs boss and has been in charge of football ALL season as a result. Depends on your viewpoint, mine is that Wotte has been involved all season - not just now as coach.
  9. I agree - Lowe is to blame and must be evicted. We can remove him by protesting - it worked last time and will again. But Wotte is Lowe's man and I think when Lowe is thrown out so will Wotte anyway. But I think Wotte has to share a large part of the blame - he was the one who told Lowe that this daft youth policy would work. In many ways he is more to blame albeit Lowe made the decision to run with it.
  10. 'A little misguided'? We are going to be relegated.
  11. I dunno Nick, I just can't stand listening to him have a go at the fans and to be honest I hear that the improvement may be more to do with senior players like Wotton firing up the team. If he keeps us up I will be impressed but still won't want him here. There are many British managers out there who IMHO are far better than the Youth Football engineer. Any football professional who could show that much foolishness and tell Lowe youth total football could work is either mad or incompetent or just out for himself. Frankly there are better options out there IMHO.
  12. You only have to read the fans reactions to that article on the Echo website to realise how many fans think this chap is on another planet. I still can't forgive Wotte for his footballing direction that led up to his appointment of coach. Wotte and Lowe have nearly destroyed this club. I want both out regardless what happens at the end of the season.
  13. He's going in the summer anyway.
  14. Classic.
  15. Perhaps it was narrowed to make the HOOFING easier?
  16. When we relegate - will we all call for Wotte's head alone? Or will we call for Lowe's AND Wotte's?
  17. Total Football... Totally Lowe.
  18. I agree - but I am concerned that some shareholders may have a plan to benefit from it. Sounds a little strange - but someone will takeover the club and dramatically increase their holdings.
  19. Except you could also put alot of the blame for the previous matches on Wotte's shoulders too - in which case NP is miles better. Wotte was the architect of the youth policy, let's not forget that.
  20. Shame. This game was for the taking. Oh dear - prognosis not good.
  21. To be fair to Wotte he replaced him as he thought he was rubbish. Not bad, its taken most of the season to realise it but at least the penny's dropped. How about not starting him and keeping him on the bench where he can develop some hunger again? Men please. This team needs focused men.
  22. We won't if Lowe steps down and leaves. If Lowe goes I think we'll increase those numbers significantly.
  23. Good. And I am sure you believe Wotte will keep us up. I hope he does. Wotte and Lowe were the youth experiment - that IS a fact. JP worked to Wotte and Lowe. JP was under continous Club policy pressure to play youth under Wotte and Lowe. He therefore failed. Wotte comes in and now Club policy out of necessity - youth failed - has changed. Wotte was right to be slagged off by JP when he left. The goalposts have shifted for Wotte's tenure. Wotte/Lowe's policies caused failure - not just JPs lack of personality. Wotte and Lowe FAILED to give JP the tools he needed. That IS a fact.
  24. Its a paradox. People will return if Lowe goes as he fails to generate optimism. How he can be allowed to continue by the shareholders and bank I dont know - its insane. Fans wont return with Lowe. That's reality. So we need to remove Lowe. I liked the idea of picketting Barclays Bank and Lowe's other businesses until he leaves.
