A few on here have found a new love of defending unelected bureaucrats it seems. Quite the reversal from the Brexit days.
-
The fact that Labour have only called for an investigation is telling. They know the longer he clings on, the worse it looks. Boris playing a blinder. Looks like we’ll have a press conference from Cummings to look forward to later today. Expect he’ll announce he’s sacked BJ.
-
Even the Daily Mail turning on Boris and co. Cummings has become everything he proposes to hate. A part of the metropolitan elite.
-
What's the point. You can't see any wrong with what he's done and there's no convincing you otherwise.
-
Perhaps you could call family that live closer to him (like Dom had) to ask them to help out instead? Let’s not pretend Cummings has nobody else to look after his kid in London. He’s chief advisor to the PM, the notion there was nobody in London is farcical.
-
If your son was well enough to drive 260 miles, I expect you’d tell him that he’s well enough to look after his son.
-
It was hastily deleted, but read; 'Arrogant and offensive, can you imagine having to work with those truth twisters?'
-
The official UK Civil Service twitter account makes for funny viewing right now. Someone will be getting sacked (unless they've broken lockdown, of course).
-
Johnson coming across very Trump like in parts of that.
-
Bloody hell, Boris is taking the daily briefing. Things must be serious.
-
If he bothers turning up to it at all. Is anyone actually certain that Boris hasn’t been furloughed?
-
you are by far my favourite poster on here.
-
It’s now being reported that he actually broke lockdown twice, with a second trip to Durham Game over now, if it wasn’t already. It makes the tweets from the ‘big guns’ even more embarrassing today too.
-
Now so many Tory MP’s are seemingly so concerned about the welfare of a 4 year old boy, I look forward to them reversing the decision to open schools. As Gove mentioned, we can’t eliminate all risk. It’s nice to see this new caring side they’ve suddenly developed in the last 24 hours.

Shapps trying to change the guidelines and the Dr trying desperately to not be thrown under a bus.
-
Amazing isn’t it. A cynic would believe he’s waffling on about utter irrelevant nonsense in the hope he can reduce time for the questions at the end.
-
Listening to these briefings is hilarious now
-
Health Secretary on Ferguson: It’s a matter for the police. I’m speechless. Lockdown is very serious and everyone should be following the rules. Health Secretary on Cummings: It’s entirely right what Dom Cummings has done. If ever a man needed a backbone. Disgraceful.

I wonder which 4th rate lamb they’ll put to the slaughter at the daily propaganda this afternoon?
-
It wasn’t a good reason though. In fact it was a terrible reason, and put the grandparents very much at risk. I’d argue that knowingly passing young children to elderly grandparents who have knowingly been exposed to the virus is actually far worse then wishing a father happy birthday, especially if they hadn’t been exposed to the virus at that time. Both are stupid actions though and should be dealt with accordingly.
-
Wes we were *explicity* told that grandparents couldn’t look after young children. That was utter black and white. We were also told to isolate at home with any coronavirus symptoms. Not drive 260 miles. There’s no excuses, he should go.
-
They were quick to throw Ferguson under a bus but as soon as it’s Cummings they all close rank. Their story is already constantly changing. One rule for us, one rule for them. He should be gone.
-
Has he been sacked yet or can we all go and visit our parents in their houses for the first time in 9 weeks?

Couple of kids in the local Secondary got suspended last year for skipping a lesson to go and have a ****. Let’s be honest, some adults struggle enough with it, let alone kids.
