I was just browsing the Bournemouth forum and came across this..Quite an interesting read except the predictable "scum" bit. To be fair, he stuck around and chatted even though we told him some home truths. We told him he had let us down in the way he acted and he looked close to tears. He told us that he was a Bournemouth fan and "hecking loves the club - I've been here half my life" so he wouldn't do anything to deliberately harm it. "Look at Steve Tilson at Southend - he got them to the Championship and was sacked two years later. Now he's nowhere. I couldn't risk that." He said it wasn't about the money - as if it was he would have taken up a testimonial he had been owed for four years but didn't want to take money from the club. He did admit that he had fallings out with EM - "it's obvious" - but that wasn't the reason for leaving. He also said he had a baby on the way so has to think about his family.
