We will need the following: New GK - goes without saying Three new defenders - KWP, THB and JB will all be gone. We’ll keep Bree and Manning (unfortunately) One central midfielder to replace Downes. We’ll keep Smallbone (unfortunately) and might get in Rothwell but that makes us significantly weaker. Copious amounts of forward players - we’ll lose S Armstrong, A Armstrong, Adams, Sulemana and Brooks. Expect we’ll sign Fraser permanently and keep hold of Edozie. We’ll also have Stewart for about 5 minutes before he’s out for the season again. All in all, we’ll lose any resemblance of quality and be left with all the dross and a few kids, needing to replace said quality with something like some equivalents. We’re utterly fucked.

Let’s call it for what it is - insanity. Bringing JS back into this team and breaking up the consistent back 4 has probably cost us promotion. The worst GK in the league also needed that consistent selection to appear in some way competent. I don’t really blame Stephens either, he’s not been horrific or anything. But it was a suicidal call by Martin and should cost him his job at the end of the season.

A goalkeeper that is fucking worse then useless, a defence that can’t defend and a manager that doesn’t know his best 11 and can’t coach a defence. Beyond pathetic, fed up of this fucking season.

Regardless of KWP fitness etc, quite why he’s insisting on breaking up the THB and Bednarek partnership is beyond comprehension, and ties in with our drop of form. Idiotic, if unsurprising, by Martin.

You could argue that his signing was the catalyst to fuck this season up. Let’s not beat around the bush, not going up automatically is a disaster, and not having a proper striker is one of the main reasons why. Not adequately replacing Ings got us relegated, and still not replacing Ings doesn’t get us promoted. Shock horror.
