  1. SFC GOES GLOBAL The Shanghai and Bankok Humping Manual ( Paperback edition) carries it on a middle page spread (That's if you can prise it open )
  2. His future's bright, His future's Orange ....... or in this case, Tangerine
  3. Lambert won't thrive on anything unless he gets "bionic" legs from Steve Austin He's so slow, he couldn't catch a cold
  4. It's simple really If Torres was staying at Liverpool, they would not need a replacement, and Carroll would still be there, and worth circa £10M in gossip
  5. Not quite We still have Pulis on the books
  6. That bit says it all ie Bobby Charlton was scoring goals thirty years ago It is the "Time Factor"
  7. Games in hand are OK, as long as A Teams above start to lose B You WIN your games in hand Bournemouth won yesterday, which was bad news for us Our games in hand are just "catch up" games now
  8. But he does appear to be putting it across that he is our only "Major" signing of the transfer window If so, it's not exactly earth shattering is it
  9. Perhaps he's missing Pardew ??
  10. Sorry..... completely misread it I thought it said "Rupert Lowe is filling that roll " Nearly put me off my half time food break at St Mary's
  11. IMHO Just going through the motions Two "major" targets for all clubs in this window. Austin and Mackail-Smith Prices quoted circa 1.5 - 2 Million. Too much for Div 1 players ??? Not if there is a buyer For Austin there was a buyer, for Smith ?? we will have to wait and see I would be surprised if Cortese would go above £1 Million for either, and I don't blame him Austin has ended up in a CCC Club with a real chance to go up again Smith, IMHO, would make it in the CCC, and I'm rather surprised no one has made a move for him yet IMHO, If a CCC Club came calling, he would go, but he won't be "allowed" to join a Rival Club in Div 1
  12. That's if we ever intended too in the first place We have one on loan, and that will be it IMHO Cortese to Adkins ..... "Make do with what you've got"
  13. You are missing a point I tried to make earlier What are contracts worth ??? NOTHING these days IF Austin had WANTED to come to Saints and NOT Ipswich, all he had to do was tell Swindon that. Now, what Swindon would have done I don't know, but I am sure that they would NOT have wanted a want away player still on their books come deadline day Players HAVE called the shots in the past, and will most likely do so again Austin was reported to have said he preferred Saints, well I think that was a load of tripe In my book, being reunited with Eddie Howe (9th in the CCC and rising ?? ) was a nailed on certainty Remember, Ipswich were reported to be the HIGHEST Bidders, so, Swindon have had to accept a lower bid after all
  14. Oh contraire We would have been his THIRD First choice
  15. No we don't, all speculation, but we were ( allegedly) 3rd or 4th bidders But you and I know that Players have a lot of "clout" If he did not want to go to Ipswich, all he had to do was say so, then Swindon would have been in a cleft stick On the basis that you do not keepa player that wants away, things would have happened, most likely he would have gone to Burnley direct, instead of all the Faffing arouns For me, Howe + Austin + Done Deal long ago
  16. GOOD, I'm glad I for one, do not want anyone who rates our Club as his THIRD OR FOURTH CHOICE
  17. As supplied by Barry "Del Boy" Fry
  18. don't what mean I know you
  19. Ah, but you don't KNOW that. Cortese keeps all negotiations secrety
  20. Well, now that the Echo have cleared that up, we must all get ready to give a great big welcome to Maradona
  21. Swindon did not say that they had accepted a bid from Burnley, only Ipswich As his "preferred" option was supposedly Saints, how come Burnley get 2nd go without their bid being accepted Can someone explain ?? PS, my "preferrred" option is still Mackail-Smith
  22. It COULD be a reason how Ipswich could "afford" Div 1 Austin ( £1.65M ) IE They know they can recoup say £600K for Priskin from a South Coast Club ???
  23. What would be hilarious, is if Jewell guides Ipswich to relegation
  24. Although Swindon state only one bid accepted by them, it does show the mercenary nature of players that they grab what is on offer, whereas, if he REALLY fancied Saints, he COULD hav enforced Swindon to let him talk to US, to see what we would offer Salarywise If it was only £2K a week, then, Ipswich would of course been seen to be the better option
  25. Quite so, but that does NOT mean that he could be (our) difference between success and failure in Div 1
