  1. Cortese has bought the Two Gasometers and is going to fill them with all the Hot Air generated on this Forum We are to merge with Pompey and be renamed as Southmouth or Porthampton
  2. For example, renew your ST early, and you get it "cheaper" If you don't, you pay FULL PRICE In that sense it is a "perk" ie Less Money Outlay
  3. What you say may be correct, but it does not alter the fact that Cortese IS cutting out all perks to maximise Incoming Revenue That strategy WILL work IF Saints are successful on the pitch WHY ? Fans Follow Success But if Saints do not perform, then Cortese will realise the benefit of having regular ST holders and other genuine Fans that are being driven away
  4. ML/NC overspent on players last season, thinking that we WOULD get to the Play Offs We didn't, so the "extra" monies spent ahead of schedule in the 5 Year Plan has now to be recouped Hence, Cortese's BUSINESS decisions to cut all "perks", thus us Fans will pay Top Whack for everything
  5. I think Cortese is viewing Season Tickets purely from a Business point of view, ie MONEY Taking a figure of 10000 ST's , if they had to pay Full Price on Matchday, that is a considerable amount of "extra" Revenue x 23 Matches ( A conservative estimate of £1.5M IMHO ) Me personally, I just want my Regular seat "reserved", and if that has to be at Full Price, then so be it But, Nicola, please don't "scrap" Season Tickets, it's what we do in the UK.
  6. Saviour or not, Cortese should learn the meaning of TWO WAY COMMUNICATION Run SFC as a Business by all means Nicola But, never forget ....YOUR SUPPORTERS ARE HUMAN BEINGS
  7. THAT is a pathetic statement and you know it. Whether you agree OR disagree with anyone, they have the right to express. Not only that, they have the right to expect criticism if merited, and arguments against if warrented. Knock his argument down with a bone fide response, not abuse "What have the Romans ever done for us ? " That is all he is asking re Cortese's rapport with US SUPPORTERS. A valid question deserving a valid logical reply IS Cortese interested in US FANS ?? Is his Policy purely Monetary ?? Answer THAT ..... don't just slag off the poster
  8. For the Reading friendly, a Senior Citizen seat in Kingsland will cost £5 ........but if purchased via phone, it will be an extra £3 (60% mark up) Methinks a lot of Zimmers will block the road leading to the Ticket Offices
  9. I meant ANOTHER chance ...
  10. I think KD may have reviewed his options, and come to the conclusion that if he is ever going to play in the Prem, it has to be NOW, because, by the time Saints get there, he will be past his sell by date Because of that, I would wish him well..... he DOES deserve a chance at the Top Level IMHO

  13. Of course I cannot speak for all, but I myself am NOT concerned with the COST of a ST, as I fully realise that success costs money My sole grouse is simply that the means by which SOME Fans pay, ie Instalments ,was taken away, without ANY advance notice. THAT was BAD Business Mr Cortese, it's NOT about the price
  14. Dear "Rupert" You don't drop an argument because the other side won't talk, you keep on at them until they do. Cortese has misread the British psyche. He has made SFC 1000% Business, and 100% NO contact with his "Customers" THAT is wrong. We are still SUPPORTERS, and we DO deserve RESPECT
  15. IMHO, come Wednesday, England may very well lose, and exit the World Cup When that happens, IMHO, the "finger" can be exclusively pointed at Mr John Terry A nasty piece of work, who holds a vendetta against Capello for removing him from the Captaincy because of his "private" life of Shafting any skirt that moved (apart from his own wife) Capello's body language on the touchline in the Algeria match told it all. He has "lost" the dressing room to Terry and his cronies What a sad sorry state Football has become
  16. That was the reason for my tongue in cheek post. It is obvious that from now on, David Luker can only say what he is told to say by Cortese
  17. Perhaps we could get a comment about this from Mr Luker ...... to us FANS
  18. Methinks David Luker has now been "gagged" by Herr Cortese, and will only be his "mouthpiece from now on
  19. And they won't be doing it NEXT year either. Can't you SEE what the new doctrine will be ??? NO thought whatsoever for US .. you know FANS ... theones that stood by them last season They THINK they can do whatever they like. At the moment perhaps they can, and if you are quite content with a completely impersonnal Titular Head in charge. then good for you .... but SOME "customers" are NOT happy
  20. The Club have NOT explained why..... they have simply given a Kr*p, pathetic mumbo jumbo rheteric I'm not advocating CHEAP Tickets ... I will gladly pay MORE in the future But I DO want Season Tickets, and I want the right of being able to Pay over a few months for those less fortunate than Cortese Cortese HAS killed a lot of the Feel Good Factor, and IS alienating the FANS that stood by the Club Last Season As has been rightly stated, the Club incurs NO COSTS to run an Instalment scenario Cortese has ignored that I've stated elsewhere, British Fans are Different to most others. We do not like being treated with contempt Someone else tried that as I recall
  21. Don't you mean **** them up ??
  22. If Cortese is aiming to go down the "Europe" way of doing things, then IMHO, he has a lot to learn about us British In the UK, if you have a Season Ticket, then that more or less commits you to going, even if it's a Krap opponent, or it' raining etc BUT, if their are NO Season Tickets, then that gives you a straight choice of Paying Full whack on a Match by Match basis, OR, not going (due to weather, Krap opponents, bad home form etc etc ) People in the UK will not "blindly" go. If Cortese IS planning to ditch Season Tickets, then he will get the compleste opposite result to the one he thinks.Bleeding Loyal Saints Fans dry is NOT good PR, nor will it automatically swell the Cortese Coffers
  23. The problem is, IMHO, SMS is a good Stadium, but with very poor ACCESS compared to other Stadia Kingsland side is bordered by a defunct Railway line, and the only way out on foot from Northam to the City centre is over a restrictive bridge From Chapel, lies a winding road system until you reach humanity again You don't buy a house with only one access door do you ?? No, you normally have front side and a back door If Cortese could get better Access to and Exits from those points, then yes, he could "extend" SMS But I don't think he can, so he's looking at plans to re-site a Stadium
  24. That is quite feasible Wet cold Tuesday evenings Krap "little" Teams as oposition A slump in Form Three reasons why a lot of people will not bother if they do not possess a ST On this issue, Cortese HAS lost the plot, and in so doing WILL lose a lot of Fans Revenue throughout the season
