On arecent Football show where Pardew was one of the pundits, Pardew stated that he was "Southampton through and through" Still, Brown Cameron and Clegg have all been known to tell Porkies However, if there were no truth in the Pardew rumours, ANY decent Club would have made SOME comment by now Back to the Dark Ages IMHO
-
Well, if Cortese wants to go back to the unrest and disharmony that we dad prior to Leibherr, then all he has to do is appoint Hughes, (who IMHO, is worse than Harry R ) At least when Redknap spends, he ends up with a team Hughes had Mega Money at Man City ...... and FAILED I really hope that Cortese is not going after a FAILURE. We will never get Promotion under Hughes, but we would get a split Club Still, the signs aren't that good. I don't think Pardew was wearing colors on Sat ??? PS If Hughes can't be bothered to come to a Third Division Team, then perhaps Sven might be interested:D:)
-
This whole situation does not make sense One of the things that we all applauded re Leibherr and Cortese was that they seemed honest blokes with what they themselves stated was a FIVE YEAR PLAN They also stated that Pardew's position would be reveiwed after EIGHTEEN MONTHS The simple fact is, that if they renage on what they have categorically stated, then, in plain English, they will be seen to be liars I personally don't think they are that, but what do others think???

As it is written in the Bible Whosoever ........ Amen:D:)
-
Makes perfect sense Mark Hughes, after leaving Man City (very rich Prem Team), is gagging to take over a DIVISION ONE, ie THIRD LEVEL Team ....... PS, please advise what you are on, as I'd like to get some:cool:
-
The other way round He was seen trying to LEAVE at 1 0'clock ...... ( some problem with the car park attendant apparently ):)
-
The answer is quite simple Pardew had let it slip (in the program), that he was waiting the nod from Gordon Brown to form a coalition Government That's a guarentee for Relegation if ever I heard one:cool::cool:
-
Markus not at the game as he was not happy

I quite agree It is one thing not to comment on EVERY bit of speculation BUT, excluding the Fans completely is going too far the other way IMHO:D -
Put the away fans in the Chapel ...... it's about time we heard SOME noise from there ......

Re " Spurs ... watch this space ... " The Board at WHLane have not exactly stopped Redknap from spending have they, and the current result is Top Euro Football for next season The Achilles heel is IF they fail ..... which was the scenario that destroyed Leeds Pompey ??? Watch for the biggest Fiddle since Nero A "forced" CVA, a quick in and out of liquidation, then an even quicker reformation, no further points deduction, and a level playing field for the CCC Fit For Purpose my Arse Rupert's big mistake ???? He didn't put us circa £149M in debt .... seems to work for others By comparison, we went into Admin on a pittance, and got stuffed -10 by the FA Sweet F A .... which is exactly what they are:cool:
-
On another level, there is a lot to be said for one of those ...............:D
-
Why did Arry Boy "Fail" at St Mary's RUPERT LOWE Simples
-
I've seen him on the pitch many times ............ but I can't ever recall seeing him play:D:cool:
-
Why would he be off his rocker ??? By Xmas, we had cleared the -10, and were 10 points from 6th Two months later, with all Pardews NEW additions, we were 16 points from 6th, but still in the FA and JPT Cups At that stage, Pardew decided to opt for the chance to get to Wembley, (and he succeded ) The cost of that however, was the chance to push for a Top Six spot I am sure that Cortese "released" monies for team building to allow the Team to go for the Play Offs In that context, Pardew had priorities elsewhere, and we had too much to catch up after Wembley For those that say " At the start of the season, Pardew had to cope with a weak Team and -10", I say yes he did, but I go back to my earlier point that the -10 had been cleared, by the old Team by Xmas, which left us 10 points from sixth Finally, with all the supposed talent that Pardew has brought in, I just cannot wait for next season to see games like the Swindon or Oldham ones, where all Pardew's tactical plan is to hump the ball up in the air at every opportunity. IMHO, with the Team that Pardew ended up with he under achieved I'm not sure which way Cortese will jump. Upon reflection, Pardew has shown to be tactically lacking, but a good timekeeper By that I mean that he does not know how to change tactics DURING a game, and you can set your watch as to when Barnard is subbed Coppel's gone, which IMHO, he was aware that HE would not get the SMS job So, on the basis that I do not want "proven" wastes of spaces like Dowie, Ince etc etc, I guess Cortese should stick with what he's got:D:D:cool:
-
He DID make it his priority. Problem is, I doubt very much that his January aquisitions signed on with the magic words " of course you realise that we aren't going for the play offs this year, so it's another season in Division 1 " IMHO it will be another mini Team rebuild during the close season:cool:
-
And I would like to give him straight back !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really ??? Took over from Ted Bates when the team were SIXTH, then we all watched as we slid down the table into Relegation Whoose fault ???Oh yeah, the players. The fact that they were "guided" by tehe "Manager" goes by the board, OK we won the FA Cup in 76, but if you are realistic, you would admit we had all the luck going for us that day ( yes, I WAS there) Bit different scenario than Pardew's. He got money to buy good players. Players that a lot of clubs would have loved to get And from THAT position, he opted for the JPT over the League Ask any Fan now, and all you will get is how much they are looking forward to the 28th BUT I bet, come Monday, whether we win or lose, the REALITY of another season in Division 1 ( The Third level of UK Football ) will sink in And it will sink in to a lot of the current Squad as well We have seen all that Pardew has to offer, and, from a Business point of view ( which is how we are run now ), what he has to offer falls well short of taking the Saints Forward HIS assembled Squad have dropped far to many points. The inescapable fact is, we were closer to the play offs at Xmas, with our "old" Squad, than we are now NOT acceptable to Cortese, not acceptable to me, and it should NOT be acceptable to Saints Fans generally The British "well we did our best" doesn't cut it any more. ANYTHING less than Success in Division 1 is Krap, especially with the Squad Pardew has had since January
-
What you are effectively saying is that Pardew has no influence or control over HIS players ??? The players have to take the rap ??? Just reflect on that during the off season, when quite a few of Pardew's "Best Buys", bought for the sole purpose of reaching the play offs (Cortese), decide to move on I honestly do not thionk that Pardew is very far up Cortese's Popular list:cool:
-
Are you serious with that ??? "Struggled to play our normal game" I don't recall us TRYING to play Football Of Course Swindon worked hard So, instead of playing "risky passes", all we did was to hoof the ball up into the night sky, for the Swindon Centre Backs to deal with when it came back down "The players decided to boot it away" All by themselves ??? NOT under instruction from the Manager ???? In that case, as the Team were doing it all by themselves, no need to have a Manager is there ??? If Pardew did not instruct the players to Hoof the ball into the air, then why did he allow it to continue ?, because that course of action was getting us NOWHERE You infer that you do not believe that Pardew instructed the Team to play that way, so, as he obviously has no control on how we play, he might just as well come and join us in the stands The only good thing about Pardew is that you can set your clock as to when Barnard will be subbed Sign of a great Manager that was, Lambert had taken a bad knock, and was struggling. But, don't change anything, stick to the script eh ?? Pardew showed how clueless he is, as time went on, when he was at Charlton After Tuesday nights Saints performance, Carlisle must be really looking forward to the 28th:cool:
-
I do not see any wrong in criticism, as lonf as your do not enter the realms of swearing I personally have changed my opinion about Pardew, and that view was cemented after Tuesdays performance v Swindo How can ANY Manager send a team out with the instructions to boot the ball as high as you can, as many times as you can. Absoulutely terrible We have the best pitch in Div 1, and we HAVE in the past played great one touch along the carpet type Football But Tuesdays performance was Abysmal IMHO, and Swindon thoroughly deserved to win I do not think Pardew is the man to lead us UPWARDS, and I also think that he was not really interested in the Play Offs this season (Negative thinking) It really bugs me that he was allowed to assemble a Squad, which on it's day is worthy of the CCC, yet, under HIS guidance has dropped MANY points since that squad took to the pitch Too much emphasis was placed on the JPT, and although the 28th will be good as a Day out, come the cold light of day on the 29th, people will finally begin to realise the wonderful world of DIVISION 1 for 2010/11 If I were not a cynic, it would not surprise me at all that Pardew was giving a Two Fingered Salute. No rift, you must be joking, it's bigger than the one if Africa:cool:

Two tickets purchased 22nd Feb NOT received One ticket purchased 10th March RECEIVED Today (18th) Doesn't make sense:confused: -
What a load of BOLL*CKS England v Egypt just as an example How on earth did they manage to segregate the MASSIVE Egyptian support from the England Fans Same mentality as FIFA. A supposed 21st Century Organisation run by Dinasours

Cortese is no mug I expect he has sussed that Stoneham, with it's easy Road, Rail and Air access, WAS the best place to have the Saints Stadium after all Simples:D:rolleyes:

The HMRC have not dropped their case re the money owed to them But I do doubt very much that they will get much back I also doubt very much that Portsmouth will be forced into liquidation, as Chandrai's worldwide "standing" carries a lot of clout, believe it or not. If his country sees one of theirs being taken to the cleaners by Third World UK, a quick phone call to Gordon Brown re future Trade will soon put matters right Same goes re the -9 points I still do not think the Premier/FL impose it As at now, there are a lot of Clubs teetering on the brink of insolvency. so THEY are not likely to vote in favour of Penalty's are they ???
