Apologies if I wasn't clear. Salisu is a very good CB, it's more that I don't think he's been particularly good for a while, with my theory being a confidence issue. I'm not sure who our best 2 are - probably ABK and DCC imo. If we had to have a CB at full back (I personally think that we do) I'd prefer Salisu at left back than Lyanco at right back. The height issue probably goes when Onachu can play - him defending corners means we can play full backs at full back. That may mean no place for Salisu though, but on the flip side, hopefully no place for Lyanco!

Your mate is correct. He's been average for a while. I suspect it's confidence. He's still young, and has been played with a variety of partners, systems, and in different positions. He also has a poor keeper behind him, and sometimes little protection in front of him. Not easy for the lad. On the wider CB issue, ABK has been injured, Lyanco is Lyanco, and DCC seems to be inconsistent/not in favour. I can therefore see why Bednarek came back, and as it happened, he was our CB's against a very good Newcastle team. I can alao see why he plays a back 3, or a 4 with a CB at full back. We need height defending set pieces, and our full backs don't give us that. There's also the possible argument that of you only have 2 half decent CB's, play 3 if them to compensate - reasonable theory, but always a terrible execution by us.

The court system is in disarray. Not enough staff, and not enough judges. Legal aid decline has meant more unrepresented people clogging up the system. It's a proper shambles. It deserves its place on your broken list.

50 this year too, but don't feel ancient. The body has a few creaks and issues, but I feel young in myself, and enjoy life. The biggest thing that's helped give me more physical and mental energy is knocking booze on the head, and trying not to to worry as it achieves nothing positive.

I disagree. I've watched it again. Bednarek has matey on the ball in front of him, and the fella to his right waiting for the pass - he should have been Lyanco's man. Bednarek was left between two men, one of whom Armstrong let go. The goal was a car crash all round, but Bednarek is the wrong scapegoat imo. Looking at the second again though, Bednarek should have been tighter to the fella who played the ball to Longstaff, but Bree got done too easily and Salisu was in no mans land. However you look at it, we didn't help ourselves. and both goals could have been avoided.

Bizarre analysis. Their first goal came from a midfielder runner being lost before he arrived to score - he wasn't Bednarek's man to mark and was in no position to prevent that. As for Bazunu, it's his job to position himself - he was all at sea for that goal, and should have saved it. I'll leave it here mate as people are just looking to pop at Bednarek for non reasons. Like it or not, he probably played his way into the team on Tuesday.
