I think there's a proper player in there, and personally I'd play him ahead of Armstrong. He ain't going to develop on the bench, and Armstrong won't get any better than he is now.

It was the BBC piece that I read. Horrendous what happened to him, and amazing that he resisted the medication he needed for so long.

I hadn't realised what happened to him as a kid. Absolutely awful, and fair play to the guy for talking about that stuff in the manner that he did, and for being as successful as he was. I loved his music, and my respect for him has gone up several notches. RIP indeed.

That's done him no favours. "Clumsy" is bollox, he needed to issue a full and unreserved apology. I suspect we'll be seeing and hearing less of him in the future.

The fact that Clarkson's own daughter has distanced herself from his comments says it all. Talk of her parading the streets naked and being pelted with shit is abhorrent, and disliking her more than a child killer is another level of wrong. I liked Clarkson until Friday. Personally I don't think Harry and Meghan should have spoken out, but it's a shame that there was a limit to what they could say, ditto the British media.

I've not heard many people complain about the timing. Pretty much everyone I've spoken to think the timing was spot on, although some (me included) think it should have been earlier. Saying that it's the wrong time for a rookie feels to be more of a complaint about who got the job, and the lack of a striker, is another issue.

It is, but I think there's a case for more countries to be involved, although the 3 teams per group is a daft idea. The new club world cup is a strange one and not sure how that can work alongside the champions league, domestic leagues, and international football. I don't think it'll be long before the big boys all feck off and do their own thing 🤞🙏🤞

Master Bates mentioned Barca but I've not anything else about that or anything else apart from the Bristol City run out. You'd like to think that we've been getting some other proper match action in before the restart.
