  1. I understand fully, and there was no misrepresentation or wilful misunderstanding. Top marks for having to resort to calling me a "thick cunt" to get your point across though pal, real sign of your class and intellect 👏

  3. Yep, St Etienne superb. I picked up Ashcroft's latest on vinyl yesterday, absolutely brilliant. Forgot how good his voice is. The 90's on the hole was a real mixed musical decade. I never got Oasis or Blur; Radiohead were genius but musically and vocally dull; I loved The Sundays - reading, writing, arithmetic was a superb album; Belly as well; The Cure continued to be amazing; Stone Roses peaked in 1989 and second coming was average, but Ian Brown pushed out some food stuff - unfinished monkey business is a great album; Ride were superb and threw out a few cracking albums; REM knocked out some good stuff, automatic for the people isn't shabby; Nirvana of course, and we still just about had the Pixies. Maybe it wasn't that bad after all.
  4. Nothing naive about reminding folks of the basics whelk. Surprising that left leaning folk think we shouldn't allow the public to decide for themselves.
  5. I'm surprised by your we can't trust the public so let's not give them the choice angle, and it's not one I can subscribe to. We'll agree to differ, and I'm quite happy to leave the public to make its choices on a candidate if he/she is put forward. Highlighting the flaws in a candidate is the job of the other candidates/party if they're so inclined, and if the tories are bold enough to put Cox forward again, I'd hope that'll lead to another party getting their person elected.
  6. This is pointless mate.l, you make one point then make points in support of something different. On the issue of whether he's a disgrace, we agree. That's a completely different issue to the one I've made, namely that if he stands again and fools vote for him, that's up to those fools. It ain't complicated.
  7. To be fair to Hughes, he came up against a good Chelsea team, and was let down by Lemina jogging around leaving Chelsea to have the run of the midfield.
  8. If there's ever a vote for those things you list then the public can vote accordingly and we can discuss them accordingly.
  9. I've read your earlier post. The linking of all manner of things to this issue takes the discussion nowhere. Leaving the public to decide whether they vote for lazy, disinterested and incompetent MP's is not "an excuse to defend lazy, disinterested and incompetent MPs". I'm not defending him, he's a disgrace and I wouldn't vote for him (I wouldn't vote any tory) but I'm saying the public can judge him if he's put forward as a candidate...yep, that's democracy.
  10. Eh? What's that got to do with the public deciding whether or not to vote for a parliamentary candidate? Are you really advocating a system where lazy MP's can't stand for parliament? Why not leave the choice to the public, or is a nanny state your preference?
  11. You're confusing your own argument. My point is a simple one - if the public re elect this idiot they are daft to do so, but they can. If your question is whether proven lazy MP's should be allowed to stand for election, yes, they should be able to. It is then the right of the parliamentary party to either put that lazy son forward or not, and if they do, then it is the right of the public to either select him or not. One would hope that the public would have sense to say no but it's a simple concept this democracy.

  13. You're missing your point that i was responding to. You said And if they vote him back in, despite the publicity surrounding his aversion to doing any actual representing, they will be absolute mugs. If the public re - elect Cox knowing he's a lazy bastard, so be it. I agree that they'd be mugs, but it'd be their choice and like it or not, that's democracy.
  14. Agreed. The movement, choice of pass, weight and quality of pass, all looked good. N'lundulu is well behind the level of those lads for movement and touch. The turn around in that group has been phenomenal.
  15. Thanks for that. Lots of good movement for all those goals. Hopefully we'll see one or two lads around the first team squad, if nothing else to give an incentive to keep working hard.
  16. True, but that's on them, not you. That's the thing with democracy, we have to respect other people's votes and decisions. I can understand your annoyance, but I am struggling with your lack of respect for the democratic process.
  17. I've said that I don't want to bog down a thread re Ralph on debating this player, and I won't get drawn in. We've taken the thread off topic enough. If we started, we'll also get to the point where I talk about his merits as a footballer as I see them, and you'll talk about numbers. We'll get nowhere, so we may as well agree to differ before we begin!
  18. Lovely, thanks. Sounds like a positive night's work, with a few lads making progress.
  19. Thanks for that. How were Chauke and Doyle?
  20. Yep. Olufunwa is getting a run of games. I've not seen any of the games this season, will be interesting to see how he's developing.
  21. Looks like he played CM tonight. Not seen anything of the lad but he's getting a lot of football at a young age. Olaigbe and Ballard are bang in form too. Tonights line up :
  22. Thanks 👍
  23. I'll respond briefly. The difficulty with discussing footballers with you is your belief that stats are the most important thing. They are not. Put De Bruyne in our team, he won't get half the assists. Put Redmond in City's team, he'll get loads more. Put Mendy in our team, he'll get less clean sheets than he makes for Chelsea, but make more saves. Comparing the stats of one player in one team to what another does in another team (where he's surrounded by different players, and in probably a different system) isn't pointless, but it's not the biggest factor in determining the merits of a player. You have your thoughts on Buendia and I don't agree. I'm not going to get bogged down with a discussion about it on a thread about Ralph because it is irrelevant. Further, you'll go on about Xa and Xg etc rather than focus on the actual merits of the player, and I'll find it hard to take your views seriously as you actually think that A Armstrong is better than Broja, with more potential.
  24. Thanks MB, I'd forgotten we were playing. No Simeu tonight though. Wander if it's injury, a rest or with the first team squad.
  25. Buendia is on Redmonds level. A Armstrong has more potential than Broja. I think I'll leave it there mate, seems a tad pointless discussing the merits of footballers with you.
